Hazel Park primitive grass tent campsite (overflow)
Liked: The lake, water sports availability and walks were great. Staff were very helpful after our stay with handling our complaints.
Disliked: No staff overnight, had a bad experience with other camping groups being very drunk and making excessive noise and fighting until early hours of the morning. Nothing to be done without staff available. Toilets and showers had dodgy locks and weren’t the cleanest.

Disliked: Not very easy to get to if you have a Motorhome as very narrow roads.no shop on site one 4miles away if it’s open. And we didn’t see the warden of the site all the time we was there

Liked: This site is close to the lake and has space for kids to play plus a playground. Toilets were lovely and warm and clean. Good space between pitches. It was quiet when we were there as the Easter weather was wet and windy. Managed to swap the tent pitch to the pod which worked really well for a reasonable cost.
Disliked: Can't rely on google maps to find it as there is no signal nearer the site. Quite a long way from shops which isn't a problem. About half an hour to Minehead -beach, food, shops

Liked: Love the view from the tent. Allocated pitch number sent before arrival so no need to meet at booking in deadline. Loos, washing up and showers kept clean. Site very quiet at night. Great dark skies and dawn corus. My husband appreciated the WiFi as we had no signal.
Disliked: I liked everything about this site. It was about a quarter occupied when we visited. May need more loos when busy.
