Disliked: Road noisy during the day but quiet enough at night. only two showers, they were hot and spacious but could do with more.

Liked: very well looked after grounds situated in mauchline Ayrshire so lucky to have beautiful weather to soak up this lovely tranquil adult only park surrounded by beautiful countryside Nice wee walk to the river and only a short drive or walk to the small village for shops and restaurants we stopped at the Fairburn hotel for dinner service and food excellent Catrine house camping park has excellent facilities lovely spacious hot shower, immaculate toilets, wash-up room complete with a washing machine that you can use for a small fee of £2 The owner is very friendly he takes the time to tell you about the park and the surrounding area There are local deliver services for takeaway food you can have delivered straight to you van excellent The price he charges is outstanding for the service he provides l have stated here many times before and l will be back

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite (riverside)
Liked: Owners were so friendly and very willing to help us out. Facilities were great and clean. The Riverside pitch was beautiful and fairly secluded, a wee walk up the site to use the facilities. We were able to have fires on a night and didn't see many people by the river.

Liked: Nice quiet site, stayed in the walled garden, marvellous sun trap, which would offer shelter in windy conditions, generous communal area in the lodge, where there is wi fi access, walks nearby
