Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked: The facilities were very clean and the owners friendly. No restrictions on pitch size, although that will alter if it gets busy. Very quiet.
Disliked: If we had known that we would be asked for an extra £5 site fee on arrival, which wasn't clearly flagged up on Pitch Up, if at all. We felt cheated and if we had known the true cost would have booked somewhere else. We will not be recommending this site or stay again. We will also be wary of booking with Pitch Up in future.

From the manager: Hi Angela, I apologise for this inconvenience. I agree it is not clear enough, which is totally my fault and we are working on our alterations. I quite understand your objection. Regarding the space, we have another two fields. With best wishes Michael.

Non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked: Excellent Views Large pitches Quiet Clean Toilets and Showers Soft ground - easy pitch and comfortable Friendly and welcoming owner Close to both Bristol and Bath Cows
Disliked: Only cold water for dishes but you can fill the bucket in the showers and bring it back up to the wash area to help cleaning (bucket has some holes :D )

From the manager: Hi Jayson, I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay!, we have renewed the bucket ( sorry about that ) on the roof of the compost toilets we have a circular pipe which gets hot when the sun shines? Which goes into the sink, a bit basic really, regards Mike.

Shepherd's hut (adults only)
Liked: Bigger than I was expecting for a shepherd's hut which was great. Loved the location, very private with own compost toilet. Great views. Lovely wood burner with wood provided, Hut stayed nice and warm. Cooking facilities available in the hut. Showers available with a short walk away. Host was lovely and welcoming.
Disliked: Not much to dislike

Liked: Friendly, welcoming owners Beautiful countryside location with lovely views Spotlessly clean compost toilets and showers with plenty of hot water No light pollution - so amazing night sky. There is a small, unobtrusive light left on near the loos overnight which I really liked as some campsites have far too many bright lights at night Freedom to pitch where you like
