Liked: Great friendly site, some lovely walks to be had from the site as well. Pub is very good. Toilet block was spotless and everything worked as it should. A lot of the pitches had been taken by a large family group which didn’t bother us at all. It was nice to see kids playing and enjoying themselves instead of being stuck in front of a screen. One of the party came across and tried to apologise for the noise etc as someone had complained but I assured him it didn’t bother us in the slightest and we met some lovely people over the weekend and had a good laugh. I would recommend to anyone.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Everything! Lovely warden came to greet us and show us where everything was. She let us know the code to shower/toilet block. Hardstanding pitch was a great size, and level. Own water tap at the rear. Advised to book a table at the Pepperpot, as it gets very busy. We promptly booked dinner on the Friday and Saturday evening, and also Sunday afternoon. Wow, food was fantastic on all 3 days. The garden was lovely, plenty of tables. The shower and toilet block was immaculate at all times, and the shower was lovely and hot. All staff were excellent and friendly. Our dogs enjoyed it too!
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Large pitch on a smallish site with a nice friendly feel and pub a stones throw away. Good location for Cattle Country Farm Park and other days out.
Disliked: There was no plastic recycling. We were here the same time as a large group who dominate the central green and were up (noisy) until midnight.

Liked: Clean toilets and showers.
Disliked: Small tent pitches, we were the only family camping on our own the rest of the tent pitches were a massive group of people, so quite loud, chaotic and unsettled at times ( obviously not he owners fault) Gate padlock locked at 10pm-7am so can not get out of an emergency, this made us feel slightly trapped, although I'm guessing the do this for safety? Toilets locked with a code, so you need to remember the code, noticed a few people struggling to put this in, if your in a hurry for the loo not ideal. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers. On arrival the lady was slightly abrupt, didn't feel welcomed.

From the manager: Thanks for your review. The gates are locked for security.if there was an emergency I live on site so it would have been dealt with quickly. Regarding toilets there are two showers and loosing mens and womens. The key codes are to keep toilets exclusive for guests only.and very easy to use I'm sorry if you feel you were not welcomed, but I'm never abrupt Kind regards .

Liked: Very clean and quiet site. Secure with barrier entry and departure. Pitch was roomy and level. The warden was really friendly; always with a smile to greet you. Toilets were very clean and the showers clean and water hot. Lovely pub next door for a meal and a gin! Dog friendly too. There was road and train noise but didn't interfere with our sleep

Liked: Stayed here three times now to break up our journey from the north of England on route to Devon. Nicky is a great host & keeps the site very nice. The toilets & showers are always very clean & efficient. Tried the Pepperpot pub on previous occasions it has a nice beer garden & is welcoming. PS not open everyday check times on website.
