  • Rural accommodation on a Cotswolds farm close to Stow-on-the-Wold
  • A 10-minute drive to the Cotswold Farm Park; 15 minutes to Broadway
  • Well-equipped kitchen; walking distance to a local farm shop and café
Self-contained accommodation set in a bungalow format, The Warren is located on a Cotswolds farm near Stow-on-the-Wold, with glorious rural views and lots of private green space to chill out in. This is a great spot for overnighting on tours of the Cotswolds, and it also makes a good central base for longer stays. Designed for couples, facilities include an ensuite shower, various configurations of beds in the double bedroom, and a dinky, well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge and microwave for cooking, as well as cutlery and crockery. There’s a toaster and kettle too, so you can enjoy an early-morning cuppa and breakfast in bed while looking out at those lovely views. Weather not so warm? Head down to the local pub in Longborough (five minutes’ drive) for a pint in cosy surroundings. You can pick up regional delicacies in the local farm shop (15 minutes’ walk) and there’s a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants in Stow-on-the-Wold (10 minutes’ drive), a typically mellow-stone village in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Local attractions

If you’re after a relaxed holiday, there are plenty of footpaths to mooch around directly from base camp, and for a spot of local sightseeing with minimal driving involved, head to Broadway Tower (10 minutes’ drive) for Cotswolds views, and on to cute Broadway village (15 minutes) to pick up souvenirs and pop into local museums. There are lots more gorgeous villages to explore, including Bourton-on-the-Water (15 minutes), with the River Windrush running through it, and Moreton-in-Marsh (10 minutes), with pretty houses and lively markets. Fancy a day in the big city? Cheltenham (40 minutes) has luxury spas and boutique shopping, while Gloucester (50 minutes) is known for its historic docks, half-timbered buildings and cathedral. Pop in on two TV characters close by: at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park (10 minutes) you can get up close with lambs and piglets in the barn, and feed rare-breed sheep and cattle, while Diddly Squat Farm Shop (25 minutes), made famous by Jeremy Clarkson, offers the best in local produce for cooking up dinner back at The Warren.
