Liked: We pretty much liked all of the site the owners couldn't do enough for us . This was owe first trip out to try our roof tent and we loved the place .the toilets and showers were nice and clean .a great place to go very family friendly with amenities for children .it was nice just to sit and listen to the birds and watch the robin's. The one thing that me and the wife liked was you were able to add on extras at the end if you wanted or needed them .we had a fire pit which they even supplied
Disliked: Nothing

From the manager: Stephen, it was an absolute pleasure having you stay with us over the weekend. We absolutely loved your tent setup and that you chose to do a test run with us prior to going further afield later. Thank you for posting a review and we look forward to seeing you both again soon.
Not one for us again.

Liked: Proximity to Cranwell
Disliked: Poor signage coupled with poor Internet meant finding the site was difficult. Toilets adequate if rudimentary. Numerous permanent dilapidated sites with old equipment and kit dumped around them.

From the manager: Andrew, many thanks for your review. We have addressed your issue of signage as these are now ready to go up. We do not have internet onsite for use by campers. The reason for this was due to cost and also because some campers specifically liked the fact that their children were encouraged to play outside and not be tied to phones. Unfortunately, we do not have very good signal in parts around the site due to our geographic location in a dip but reception is good nearer the A17. Our toilet block is more than adequate as we recently revamped these. We are in essence a basic site but those who stay with us describe it as rustic, family orientated, and homely. We always give a warm welcome and introduce ourselves. Your party were given this too! We are unsure exactly your comment about dilapidated sites as yes we are remodelling on site and this part of our long term plan. Work is taking place continuously to improve the site by caravan owners who are improving their pitches and this involves moving their furniture and belongings. We have spoken to owners to ensure this does happen again. Outside the main gates are outbuildings which do not have anything to do with us therefore we have no control if you are speaking about the shed on the way up to the site or the industrial units. However, we came and spoke to you, your wife and made a fuss of your dog after you arrived and specifically asked if there were any problems to talk to us but instead you chose to post a defamatory review. At the end of the day, The Beeches is not a site for you. However, for others it is a perfect haven where they can relax knowing we can provide the best service for the price and are very approachable to assist in any way possible.
Well maintained site, good toilet/shower block. Helpful owners. Can't fault it.…

From the manager: Roy, thank you for taking the time to post a review about our site. We enjoyed having you stay with us and talking to you. Although we can’t do much about the road noise it is an ongoing issue but also well publicised. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Liked: Was a little bit disappointed. I think the advert should say more suitable fir families. But then again we were the only ones there A17 very noisy.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review and are sorry to hear that the A17 disturbed you. You would probably have heard less noise had you pitched either on the front field or lower down on the back field. Unfortunately we can do nothing about road noise.
Excellent and clean, quiet and relaxing among trees and in the field.

Liked: Nice large flat pitch, toilets were clean and well maintained, good play area for kids, one of the owners, (the site seems to have many live in owners) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lovely chap.
Disliked: I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I feel it important in this case due to the nature of the complaint. Its a small site and I would say a good 70% of it is occupied by the owners and their families who live permanently on the pitches in caravans. The majority of these people made it very clear that they did not like, nor would they tolerate children. They would drive their cars up and down the small field area with no thought to child safety. There is no road or designated path for cars, it’s just a small field surrounding the pitches and one would assume children would be safe to play in it. Our 8 year old twins were pushing their go cart up and down the field when one resident/owner angrily snapped at them telling them that if they didn’t move, she would run them over next time! There is also two entrances to the play area, our children were shouted at for using the entrance closet to us because it backed on to one of the residents/owners pitch. They were actually quite aggressive about the whole situation. I believe that this site is more of a home for the many residents/owners and they see any visitors as an inconvenience to them. This was proven on more than one occasion. We wont be bringing our family here again I'm afraid.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and we note your ‘dislikes’. We do appreciate negative feedback, but would have liked to have known your comments prior to your leaving the site, so that they could have been discussed and resolved. You were asked on more than one occasion if everything was alright and you replied ‘great, fantastic weekend’. We are a small site with many regulars and we are always happy to help in whatever capacity is required. The ‘lovely chap’ you described is one half of the owners - I rest my case. In the wise words of our late Monarch - recollections may vary.

Liked: Friendly welcome. Toilet/shower block ok. Child friendly with lots of play equipment. The gates are secured and cctv. £25 Good price (but a messy site) it would suit a family looking for a budget break.
Disliked: On approaching the site the road goes narrow. If we could have turned around we would have. The site must be showing old photos it doesn't resemble the pictures. There are a lot of tyres stacked on top of each other everywhere ( it's not a go cart circuit) there is also lots of rubble behind the caravans. Most caravans look like they have been there for years and are dirty with dirty awnings although the people were friendly and waved. The grass was unkempt but the owner did mow a small section to the play area. The rally field was the best area. The marquee they mention for entertainment is very scruffy and dirty with rips in the plastic windows and lots of miss matched tables and chairs. The whole site is in much need of an update and clear out. I've tried to be fair with this review as if I had read this I would probably not book a holiday but it's OK for an overnight stay on your travels.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, we appreciate both positive and negative feedback. Unfortunately due to the fact that we’ve had a very wet and windy winter, work onsite had been delayed somewhat and the site was not where we had expected to be by the end of March. Not an excuse but an explanation. Majority of the ‘dislikes’ mentioned have been addressed. It was unfortunate that your visit was so early in the season. The access road does not belong to us but to the workshop next to the site. Rest assured the road is wide enough as there are HGVs that deliver to the workshop on a regular basis. We consider ourselves to be a basic rustic site.
