Oakwood Village is situated approximately ¾ mile from the centre of the attractive village Newton upon Derwent which in turn is located 8 miles from the York outer ring-road and is only located 11 miles from the centre of York and the world famous York Minster. The nearest main road is the A1079 which links York to Hull and the East coast and is less than 1 ½ miles away. The A1079 would provide access to most of North and East Yorkshire as well as the York ring road. It takes approximately 10 minutes, at most, to drive to the York outer ring road. Oakwood Village itself lies in a very rural situation off Bull Balk Lane, Newton upon Derwent and is surrounded by fields and occupies a 5.5 acre site of which some 50% is laid our for the communal use of the occupants (planted as wild flowers, meadows and woods) while the remainder comprises a limited number (15 at most) of exclusive timber holiday lodges all with extensive private garden areas, car-parking and landscaping. The park is designed to attract occupants who require peace and quiet within an easy reach of the bustling city of York as well as the considerable attraction of Yorkshire and the East Coast. The park is designed to be small and exclusive with access only through private electronic gates.
