Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: What a superb campsite! This has absolutely everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. Hot showers, clean working toilets, clean wash-up area, big freezer to store ice blocks and big fridge to store food, big open flat field and onsite support. The location is the best you could want with walking distance to Harlyn Bay and Trevose Beach. We walked with children aged 4yrs - 13yrs very easily. Richard was super helpful and always available to help. We have stayed on many campsites over the years in Cornwall and this is the first time we have ever booked the same one again (we booked again before we had even left!)

Disliked: There is absolutely nothing I could say to improve the campsite or I could say we disliked and we are super fussy!!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: The campsite was lovely with so much space to camp. The facilities on site were excellent with food and a cocktail bar onsite. The toilets and showers were really well maintained and always clean. The views were amazing and the beaches were a short walk away. Would really recommend to anyone looking to stay near Padstow.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Campsite with lovely views and everyone is super friendly. Having a drinks and food truck on site is a lovely added touch. Beautiful location, easy to get on to the SW Coast path

Disliked: For the size of the campsite they could do with more toilets and showers. But the showers they do have always had hot water and were relatively clean for a wet/muddy weekend!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Nice vibe - chill campers and lots of space around us. No one on top of each other. Good washing up/showers facilities. Amazing proximity to the ocean, a 5 min walk to the sea and glorious coastal paths.

Disliked: Could have maybe been more loos or a little more privacy. Otherwise great.

Local attractions

Whether it’s birdwatching at the National Trust’s Trevose Headland (55 minutes’ walk), attempting the climbing walls at The Tide Climbing Centre (10 minutes’ drive) or driving down to Newquay (half an hour) for more beaches, a zoo, aquarium or miniature golf, it’s easy to spice up a holiday in these parts. Pretty Padstow (40 minutes’ walk) has many of its own opportunities for an adventure. You may want to hire a bicycle and take off onto the 17-mile Camel Trail to see Wadebridge, Bodmin Moor and scenery along the river Camel, or board a ferry to get to Rock across the estuary, another great seaside destination with a stunning beach. Padstow is home to the National Lobster Hatchery (40 minutes) for those who’d like to see lobsters in the flesh, as well as the very fine Prideaux Place (half an hour), an Elizabethan country house that's sure to appeal to any history buffs in the group. Further afield, tick Tintagel Castle (50 minutes' drive) off the bucket list as you learn about Merlin’s cave and many more Arthurian legends.
