Me gustó: Clean. Lovely bathrooms. Lovely shower. Nice and quiet site, with logs available to buy. In the middle of nowhere with horses all around.

Me gustó: I had a pleasant visit for 4 days. It has been very wet recently, so the ground was saturated. I have not camped for a few years, and I was probably not as well prepared as I could have been, but trying to stay dry was really tough. It is a nice spot, and the lady hostess was very pleasant to deal with. I will return and hopefully the weather will be kinder, and I will be better prepared.

No me gustó: No WiFi. I know it is a rural setting away from the distractions of life, but I am not sure that a site without WiFi is going to please a big part of the customer base.

Me gustó: Peaceful and serene, lovely views of valley and horses. Level unpowered site, great price.

No me gustó: UK electric shower (we haven't mastered these yet!)

Me gustó: The overall quietness of the site and the other visitors. The toilet facilities were quite satisfactory for my fussy wife!

Me gustó: We stayed with our 3 dogs in the tent Saturday night and enjoyed the peace and large space. The toilets and shower were perfect. With less then an hour from home and a great place to get away . The fire pit was and sunset just made for a perfect night :)

Me gustó: Very helpful owner, DIane, came out to meet me as I arrived and point out where everything was. The site is open with fields of horses adjacent as well as a children's / picnic area. Toilets/showers are clean and well-kept. It was exactly what I was looking for. The surrounding area is good for cycling/walking, although Ayrshire is mostly hills. Nearby Sorn (5K) is worth a visit.
