Ik was blij met: Clean and tidy, spacious pitch and well maintained ground. Good pub near by.

Ik was blij met: The size and privacy of the pitches. Lovely walks.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Elsan point could be improved and I don’t believe the cafe was open as stated on the description.

Ik was blij met: Nice, quiet pitches. Really liked the size of the pitches with the extra privacy of the Bush design especially as our dogs are quite nervous around people and other dogs so this was a great tester for them to help settle them in to caravaning.

Ik was blij met: Very large private pitches located near to fishing lakes and a five minute walk to a pub

Ik was niet zo blij met: Hedges a little too tall makes some pitches very shaded and could do with more gravel around some pitches would be great if children were allowed

Ik was blij met: We have stayed at Barlow Country Club before and enjoyed it so decided to stay again. We love the privacy the hedges give as we have a nervous dog. It a lovely walk through the fishing lakes. Literally minutes walk to Tickled Trout pub which have a great range of craft beers. The food looks excellent but not eaten here. Further up the hill is The Peacock another favourite of ours. We sat outside where the locals were very friendly. We ordered nachos which said were homemade. Delicious is the only way to describe them and definitely never had nachos that tasted so good. The site doesn't have any facilities but we are self sufficient so not a problem.

Ik was blij met: Absolute Peace… after my ordeal getting stuck in floods in Calshot beech, it was bliss. Also very respectful by not mowing near us. Love this site private and peaceful

Ik was blij met: We stayed on pitch 4 which was a good size and surrounded by conifers, making it very secluded. Very quiet. Water and electric at the pitch. Fantastic restaurant 5 minutes walk away - The Tickled Trout. Great location for visiting the north Peak District and also close to Chesterfield and Sheffield.

Ik was niet zo blij met: No facilities (as advertised) which makes the fee per pitch seem expensive. Some of the pitches weren’t as nice as others. More information about the site would have been appreciated, including a more detailed map. Fishing lakes were disappointing, blue-green algae in two, and lots of mud everywhere. Seemed a little run down. Very poor phone and tv signal.

Ik was blij met: Lovely spacious pitches, which are fairly private Great location. Lovely area to explore with plenty of walks from the site. Fabulous pub (The Peacock), which is just a 20 min walk away, next to a deli and cafe. Able to pick your own pitch Comprehensive text of instructions prior to arrival Open green space in front of pitches Will definitely visit again

Ik was niet zo blij met: The grass alongside the pitch, was quite long and as we were on a shady pitch, (pitch 9), it didn’t dry out and was very boggy.
