The Ratham Estate is situated in West Ashling, near Chichester. Steeped in history, it’s mentioned in the Doomsday Book and originates from the 15th century. A working farm until the 1990s, the estate has three Grade II listed properties on-site – a charming circular thatched chapel, the original water mill building and the farmhouse. The current owners, Lord and Lady Hodgkin, purchased the estate in 2011 and are bringing it back to its former glory, while also making new and exciting changes. OUR FACILITIES Concierge Camping offers two sizes of fully-serviced pitch; with hard-standings of 10m x 5m suitable for smaller European style motor-homes, or 14m x 6m that can accommodate larger American style RVs. All pitches benefit from 16A power supplies, satellite TV sockets and fast broadband through the campsite’s extended WIFI. Each pitch has their own enclosed grass recreation area, also suitable for awnings and additional tents at no extra charge. On site facilities extend to a fully-equipped laundry, compromising of a washing machine and tumble dryer, an indoor dish-washing area, and a brand new luxury toilet and shower block. There are two late-arrival bays. Electric car hire is available, alongside regular bicycle and electric bicycle hire.* PRICES Pitches are priced between £28 and £48.# Prices vary according to season and demand. Guests will have plenty to explore in the local area, with the famous Goodwood Estate and all that it has to offer close by. Notable events include the Festival of Speed in June, Glorious Goodwood horse racing in August and the world renowned Goodwood Revival in September. The bustling cathedral city of Chichester is five miles away and the waterfront city of Portsmouth is just half an hour’s drive. Here you can ascend 360 feet up the Spinnaker Tower for a dramatic view of the city and coast, or take a ferry trip to the Isle of Wight and France. For a more relaxed pace you can also head into the South Downs National Park, where a mixture of rolling downs and heathland, dramatic white cliffs, coastline and award-winning beaches provide a landscape that is ever-changing and stunningly beautiful at any time of year.
