Gostou: Being able to have a fire every night. Peaceful, chilled, organised campsite. Staff extremely helpful. Shower and toilet facilities were great.

Gostou: Very close proximity to many attractions. We visited 2 beaches which were very close to the stay. Neatly maintained, good pitch, toilets were immaculate. Fridge, washing area and many other facilities were really good. Loved the entire stay.

Não gostou: We were 3 families and wanted to pitch tents next to each other, although we had called them 2 weeks ago, they still dint give them together which was a bit of a dampener. After 1st day, the electricity went out in the pitch. When asked they couldn't fix it and refused to refund difference amount and instead gave us options to move to another electric pitch. How would we fold tents and pitch in a different place all over again? That was very poor customer service. Rules are very strict which I personally felt it was not needed. Some rules needs to be eased, for example allow friends to pitch together or use multiple tents in same pitch as its a big pitch. The beautiful Yorkshire dales view is blocked with many shrubs. Would be nice if they work towards improving the view.

Do gerente: Hi Narayan, Thank you for your review Unfortunatley on your last night the electric did go off which was completely beyond our control, as was explained to you at the time, this affected 6 pitches on site including your pitch the other pitch in your group with ehu was not affected and the other pitch was a non-electric pitch, this was because someone departing from our site had caused damage to one of our boxes, we did everything in our power to try and resolve this problem, but with it being a bank holiday weekend we where unable to get an electrician out, we did offer you another pitch with ehu but you declined. Regarding you wanting to be pitched together 1 family had booked a non electric pitch which is in a different area to the campsite, another booking was a large electric pitch which is again behind the smaller electric pitches, you where as close as we could possibly get you at such short notice. You did not call us two weeks before your arrival as you had only made the booking on the 19/05/2024 and we were never informed that you were booking with two other families as we only accept two family bookings on our site which is stated in pitch ups terms and conditons. Regarding the view of " The Beautiful Yorkshire Dales" we are in the Lake district which is about 2 hrs 30 mins away from the Yorkshire dales. Regarding allowing multiple tents on the same pitch this is not permitted due to it being a legal requirement of units being 6 metres apart at all times. We do allow friends/families to pitch together, however this is on request and we need to be informed that you are coming together for us to be able to do so, however due to your bookings all being different pitch types and sizes this was not possible in your case, as stated above. We had pitched you as close as we possibly could.

Gostou: A great little site. Our first visit travelling with a drive away awning. And a success it was. Co op only a 10 min drive away for all needs. When we arrived we took up the offer of the fire pack and it was lovely sitting in the early evening. Again about 10 minute drive into Seascale beach. Parking is free but I guess it would get busy at weekends. Scarfell peak is around 40 minutes drive and was a nice day out but only walked it for 50 minutes and had enough. The site was nice and friendly more than enough toilets and showers. Wash up area near and tidy. On arrival we’re told all that needs to be known for the visit. Staff always on hand and a number if needed. Good sized meadow connected to the camp to walk your dog. Overall a great trip.

Não gostou: I personally think a laundrette is needed as we’ve been away and could have done with doing a wash but not the end of the world.

Do gerente: Thank you for your kind review we do hope to welcome you back again soon all our facilities are cleaned daily and checked daily, mops are provided outside the shower blocks for guests to mop on their exit, unfortunatly we are unable to mop the floors in each cubicle after every guest has been in however we do check them often to ensure they are up to a high standard kind regards, Rachael

Gostou: We liked service at reception, quality of pitch and facilities. Showers have music 24/7 and heaters so on a day when is cold you looking forward for shower. Fridges for customers is great idea.

Não gostou: Will be nice to have more shower cabins and could be cleaner.

Do gerente: Thank you Lukasz for your kind review, we do have two shower blocks with enough showers and toilets for the size of our site, in regards to the cleaning, all our facilities are cleaned daily and mops are provided outside for guests to mop the cubicle on their exit, unfortunatley we can not go in and mop the floor after every use but they are checked often and cleaned daily. we do hope to welcome you back again soon Kind regards, Rachael

Gostou: Farm animals, nice area

Não gostou: LOUD groups of drinkers, states quiet hours after 11pm which is why we chose this with young children. The place was utter carnage, woke us up at 3am screaming drunks. Our electric was disconnected on the third night which caused all our food in fridge to go warm, discussed this with owners daughter who was BEYOND rude. Owner then visited our pitch to discuss it and was pleasant but still nothing could be done. Paid for an electric pitch but couldn’t be used.

Do gerente: Thank you for your review Regarding the electrical issue, this was your last night on our site and we personally didn't disconnect your electric, we had a incident in which a box was damaged which effected a few of our electric pitches on site. We did everything in our power to try and fix this. However you came to reception angry and upset which is understandable due to the circumstances, my daughter had explained the situation to you, however you where rude and disrespectful towards her because she was unable to fix the issue. You where not the only pitch affected by the electrical issue and you where told we were unable to get a electrician out due to it being a bank holiday. My daughter had called us upset due to the way you had spoken to her hence why we came up to speak to you. We gave you a key to our storage shed so you where able to plug your fridge and kettle in which you have omitted to mention. When departing you left the key on the floor outside reception, luckily another camper had picked the key up and handed it to a member of staff. Regarding noise, we had spoken to you on numerous occations during your stay and not once did you mention anything to do with noise on site, we walk round site at 11pm every night and check the welfare of all our campers and there was no excessive noise. The only noise complaint we had recieved was one regarding your chilldren screaming and shouting during the night. My daughter also kindly showed your partner and your children around the farm allowing them to see all the animals. When you spoke to my daughter outside reception you walked away from her while she was trying to explain the situation as it was completely out of our control. We have watched the full interaction back on our CCTV system and the only person being rude and aggressive is you! We got the impression during your stay that you are new to camping and you had not enjoyed your camping experience for reasons which have nothing to do with us or our site, you have marked a 2 out of 10 for accommodation & we did not provided you with any accommodation, if your tent is inadequate it has nothing to do with us, it may be a good idea for you to upgrade, that is why I feel this 'review' is written by you out of spite because you have found that camping is not for you & you are blaming us for it. Gostou: Virtually everything. Toilet/showers were well maintained. Campsite was beautiful and loads of animals on the meadow. Pitches were great and I didn't find one stone when putting the pegs into the ground. Staff were friendly and happy to advise, what to do and where to go. Really handy for lots of different towns. Hands down the best campsite I've been to. Really quiet even though the animals let you know its morning, which I personally liked. Shop has a nice selection of items.

Não gostou: Electronic gates are off between 10pm-9am and you can't drive to your pitch between those times. However you just park up and walk to the pitch.

Gostou: This was out 2nd visit to Shepards view and as our first visit this visit was no different other than amazing upgrades. This site is lovely kept a to a high standard of cleanliness. Members of staff were lovely. I had requested if we could use the same pitch as previously for memories as our visit was for a trip to say our final goodbyes to our recently passed away dog and this request was granted without a 2nd thought which made our trip that extra bit special although if it wasn’t possible I know any pitch we were on would of been just as great. Larges pitches with a fire pit provided which a a great extra touch. Wood and fire starter kit delivered to pitch for a very small fee for the logs (great quality logs as well) toilets and shower facilities were kept clean and mop provided for after shower which ensured safety for ourselves and other guests not to slip on wet floor. Close by to seascale which FYI best fish and chips ever! We even managed to make friends with 2 cats unsure if they were owners or strays but they were super friendly and made us smile. We will 100% be returning

Não gostou: The only down fall is signal isn’t the best for devices however this isn’t anything that can be resolved it’s just purely down to area but doesn’t put me off made the time more special (WiFi was available at reception so if ever an emergency and needed to get in touch with a family member could easily pop to receptions)
