Torn between Cornwall’s coastal lures and the need to recharge your batteries in a peaceful location? At Treglisson Touring Park you can have both. This family-friendly site in the middle of an ancient orchard is a 10-minute drive from the port town of Hayle, which sits right on St Ives Bay, so you can create your own perfect mix of rural retreat and seaside attractions. While you set up your pitch, you can let the kids blow off some steam in the play area, which includes a miniature adventure course, swings and a sandpit. Meanwhile, the pirate ship and toy cars in the covered playground ought to keep the youngest guests entertained. Your canine buddy can have a good run around in the dog exercise area. (Note, however, that dogs ought to be kept on a lead at all times elsewhere on site.) That’s the kids and the dogs sorted. Next, it’s all about the grownups. You can put your way round the short course at Hayle Golf (10-minute walk), or indulge in a spot of birdwatching at the RSPB Hayle Estuary reserve (10 minutes’ drive). And then there’s those Cornwall beaches… Dotted with rock formations, Gwithian (15 minutes) is a vast sandy stretch popular with surfers; if you’re after calmer waters, you can head to sheltered Carbis Bay (15 minutes). Back at the site, there’s a food shop on site for the essentials, or you can take a five-minute drive to a well-stocked farm shop. (And there are supermarkets in Hayle, of course.) Other facilities include a communal freezer and a sheltered washing-up area, plus a fully tiled shower and toilet block.

喜欢: A lovely, small, quiet campsite with a lush play area for the little ones. Super close to local amenities and beautiful beaches. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay!

喜欢: Lovely campsite, very sheltered from the winds we had, great facilities and great hosts

不喜欢: Was very noisy until 2-3 am for two nights, group of younger people than myself very noisy, cars revving, motorbike, girls screaming and lads shouting, group of st least 7. obviously this isn't the campsites doing, but maybe more could be done to check on this sort or thing .

喜欢: A really friendly welcome on arrival to a small compact site with. Even at full capacity it wasn’t overly busy. We were on a hard standing motor home pitch tucked away by a hedge separating us from the pitch next door. Very good WiFi signal all around the site. A little shed with lots of information of places to see and do also a really quaint little shop on site too. Bins were emptied daily and shower / toilets kept clean. Sand pit and play area great for the kids and plenty of choices to walk the dogs too. There is a huge garden centre next door and a Lidl, asda and home bargain, plus an amazing pasty shop all within 10 mins drive. Really well located for Godrevy point/ Mutton cove, Marizion (st Michaels Mount) and the beach at Hayle is lovely.. again a 5 min drive. Dogs are allowed too. We parked at St Erth to catch the train into St Ives which saved the hassle of parking there.

不喜欢: Not a dislike but be aware there is only two showers so be prepared to time it right or have to wait.

喜欢: We absolutely loved our first time camping together at Treglission touring park. It was a clean and well maintained campsite. The owners are lovely and can't do enough for you. Next time we will bring our children with us as we know they will love it too.

喜欢: Nice central pitch for touring around the bottom of Cornwall. Great clean wash and shower areas and a nice little park for the children to run round.

喜欢: A very tranquil stay. Owners were welcoming, offered to drop us anywhere if we didn't want to take the van out, offered to pick anything up on their way to the supermarket. Facilities clean and more than adequate. Great base for outings to near-by beaches and coastal path. Free dog stay and free, excellent Wifi.

National Trust - Godrevy (10 minutes’ drive) includes a rugged stretch of coast where you might admire daredevil surfers riding large waves. If there’s no action in the water, you can explore the clifftop paths, take in the views and see birds like skylarks and choughs (and the occasional seal). Whether you’re after seaside attractions or a spot of culture, St Ives (20 minutes) delivers. Sandy Porthmeor Beach sits in the shade of Tate St Ives, with its collection of modern art, and only a short walk from the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. The town itself, with its narrow alleyways lined with stone cottages, is also well worth a little exploration. Cross to the south coast to visit St Michael’s Mount (20 minutes), a small island off Marazion Beach that can be reached on foot at low tide. Explore the medieval castle and the subtropical gardens, and take a boat trip back to the mainland.
