Pitchup.com at Farm Business Innovation - day 2!

The pod at Lee Wick Farm Hic! Er, we mean hi! Day 2 of Pitchup at Farm Business Innovation is winding down, we may have enjoyed the drinks do last night, and we are now sore-feetedly ruing the decision to wear heels. And that’s just the blokes.

We’ve had a blast chatting to loads of lovely people – farmers interested in starting a campsite/caravan park as well as other exhibitors – and are already booked in for next year (we’ll bring a stapler this time so we don’t get ticked off).

As we said in our Farmbiz blog from Day 1 , we’ve had heaps of questions from farmers wanting to know how to add a campsite to their land, with the main questions around planning permission, sourcing accommodation, how to sell pitches once the site is set up and how Pitchup.com can help. Have a look at our how to start a campsite or caravan page for the legal lowdown including planning permission and licensing; and at our upgrade page for extensive info and FAQs on how it all works and how Pitchup.com works for its bookable sites.

A few of the interesting folk we talked to – thanks for the chat:

Royal Agricultural Benevolent Association (RABI): helping farmers financially

Camping Cabins : pods, cabins and yurts built and fitted

Farma : helping farmers sell their food produce

Clear Sky Safari Tents

The Woodland Trust

ECHO : low-energy modular buildings

Albion Canvas Co

And ta to Wendy at Anytime Booking for the pencils – see you next May at the Helston Furry Dance…

We’re off to Farm and More in Warwickshire in February, so keep an eye out for us if you’re there! Farmers and campsite owners who want to know how to set up a site or how to get more bookings, drop us a line at enquiries@pitchup.com or give us a call on 0208 434 7444. But for now, it’s well-deserved beer o’clock: toodle pip once more...
