The beach near Start Bay Caravan Club Site offers excellent sea fishing - keen anglers are advised to bring along their tackle to make the best of their getaway. The Start Bay Inn is a short walk away and locally renowned for its excellent fresh fish and chips. Just a few steps from the pub, the charming Seabreeze Cafe, located on the beachfront, serves delicious cakes, coffee and light lunches. Please only use these recommended directions for the final approach and not SatNav, due to unsuitable roads for towing. Turn left off the A38 (Exeter - Plymouth) onto the A384 (signposted Dartington, Totnes, Kingsbridge). In Totnes turn right onto the A381. In about 10 miles at the Stumpy Post Cross roundabout, turn right (signposted Kingsbridge). In 2 miles at Palegate Cross roundabout turn left towards Kingsbridge. In 1 mile turn right (signposted Dartmouth, Kingsbridge town centre). In the town centre follow signs to Dartmouth on the A379. The site is on the left in about 6 miles (0.25 miles past Stokenham). The road narrows between Kingsbridge and the site. Please Note: do not turn into lane to Stokenham, the site entrance is directly on the main A379 road. No parking available between A38 (Buckfastleigh) and site.
