Camping des Lacs is located by the Saint Jean de Chevelu lakes and at the foot of the Dent du Chat. Located on more than 2 hectares of greenery, nature is at the heart of the site. Camping des Lacs has a peaceful environment with easy access to must-see tourist sites (Lake Bourget, Aix-les Bains, Chambéry, Lake Aiguebelette ...). The Méline river borders the campsite and is ideal for fishing. On site there is a toilet block with hot showers and toilet equipped for people with reduced mobility. There also is a nursery area with a bath and changing table. For relaxation a library and games room are available. Some evening entertainment is provided. You can order bread and pastries and there is also a snack bar with take-away food including ice cream sales, pizza, fries and drinks. A launderette is available (charges apply).

Camping des Lacs is located in a land of lakes, rivers and small mountains. Many outdoor activities awaits you. Watersports fans or swimming enthusiasts will find lakes within easy reach: Lake Saint-Jean de Chevelu (opposite the campsite), Lake Bourget (15 minutes), Lake Aiguebelette (30 minutes), and Lake Annecy (50 minutes). Do you prefer hiking or cycling? You will find a wide range of itineraries to explore on foot or by bike such as Via Rhôna or the cycle path linking Aix les Bains to Chambery; a mountain bike circuit (500 kilometres of routes combined in total) starts near the site. For more adventurous people, the campsite is not far from major Alpine passes. You can punctuate these activities by exploring the surrounding towns such as Chanaz (20 minutes), the Spa town of Aix les Bains (25 minutes), Chambery (25 minutes) where you can stroll along the pedestrian streets at the foot of the Château des Ducs de Savoie, and Annecy (50 minutes) with its lake and old town. Over 1-hour drive away, find Chamonix, located at the foot of Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi and the Mer de Glace, and Geneva. Do not forget to taste the many local products: wines from the vineyards around (Roussette, Chardonnay, Mondeuse, Gamay ...) and cheeses from Savoy. You can find them at local markets or from local producers.
