Rusty's RV Ranch is conveniently set between New Mexico Peloncillo and the Arizona Chiricahua Mountain range, benefitting from 360-degree mountain views. The park is six miles north of Rodeo, NM, 12 miles north of Portal, AZ on the historic route 80. The campground offers a scenic western setting and modern facilities including an office-store, a clubhouse and a bright, clean laundry room. There is also a Koi pond and a garden, perfect to relax in the evening. There is even wifi coverage throughout the campground. The owners welcome families, solo travellers and large groups to enjoy a convivial and friendly atmosphere. Astronomers come to this area for the dark sky viewing, but if you don't have a telescope, bring your binoculars for amazing star gazing and birdwatching.

Visit the Chiricahua Desert Museum, a beautiful, new, 8,000 square foot facility in Rodeo, NM between the Chiricahua Mountains and the Peloncilos. It is home to a giant art collection and state-of-the-art reptile exhibits, some rare and endangered. There is also the Chiricahua Gallery, an official destination point on the New Mexico Fiber Arts Trail. You will find an outstanding and ever changing collection of oils, mixed media, jewelry, home made soaps, wood crafts, coyote gourds, and books by local authors including Alden Hayes, Brooks White, Jeanne Williams, Fran Zweifel, and much, more. Paradise is a tiny (twelve year-round residents) former mining town surrounded by National Forest land. During its short but lively heyday, the town boasted bars, a barber shop, mercantile stores, hotels, a jail, and a red-light district. Almost everyone left when the mines failed, pulling down their homes and businesses and taking the lumber with them. The Paradise Cemetery, is a wonderful walking destination for history buff, genealogist, and birder alike. There is also the Kartchner Caverns State Park, an expansive limestone cave with living rock formations and frequent guided tours. The campsite is conveniently located for hiking, hunting, fishing and birdwatching.
