Liked: Basic camping with all that is needed. Toilets, sink to wash pots etc. Situated at the bottom of Mam Tor, easily accessible and only just less than a 20 minute walk into the village. Able to hire fire pits and friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

Liked: The owners are really nice and friendly. The views from this campsite are unbelievable, the walk up Mam Tor can be accessed from the campsite and the village is a nice 20 minute walk.

Probably wouldn’t stay again, I’d rather choose somewhere with water.

Liked: Fantastic location at the foot of Mam Tor, close to footpaths. Toilets were clean and owners helpful.
Disliked: No shower facilities (to be expected at a ‘pop-up’ campsite) but no drinking water on site was not good.

From the manager: Sorry you felt this way this is why there is a honesty box full of water and goodies but the description of the site when you book does indicate no drinking water. Thanks for your review.

Liked: The views
Disliked: Noisy music until 10 pm. 5 portals for 100s of people. One sink to wash pots that was people shouting all night. Alarms going off. Very pricey for facilities.

Liked: Location, stunning views, clean toilets
Disliked: Noise,, no sleep both nights stay. First night Polish couple up till 5.30am load talking laughing ect, 2nd night X4 young Scottish lads, shouting, swearing up till 4ish, large birthday party in adjoining field, load music ie PA system but quiet by 2am.. such a shame as the location & all the other campers were respectful, quiet & the facilities were spot on. I think we just fell in a busy weekend & we’re unfortunate that we were the closest to both load neighbours, my daughter slept through it all God knows how 😁 I would go back but only mid week as the location is stunning.

Liked: The campsite felt very secluded and quiet. Immediate access to Mam Tor/Great ridge and all the fantastic walking that has to offer.
Disliked: Not being able to pay remaining balance by card. Cash machines are few and far between in the area.
