Liked: Statics were basic but very clean and had everything you wanted we arrived with Kids and grandkids all three vans were together which made it so simple for us to be in touch with each other. Evening entertainment for the kids was basic and kids not welcome on adult bingo night The park was within walking distance of the beach the amusement park and the water park. Laurel 3 bedroom static caravan (superior)

Liked: Everything was most enjoyable on the Towervans Caravan Park in Mablethorpe. It was the first stay in a caravan for my wife and I (after 41 years of marriage) and it was sufficient for our brief stay in Mablethorpe. We are normally used to grand and spacious hotels with lots of facilities, so this was quite a novelty! The weather was pretty good, but I have to say that Mablethorpe had virtually little to offer our visit. The straight-as-a-dye beach had not a single pebble or rock, or puddles, or seaweed, or any coves, along the whole coast down to Sutton-on-Sea and was straddled by a long concrete wall and tarmac pathway. Aesthetically boring. It was wonderful, if not overly flat, for my mobility scooter, but everywhere was too flat, for mile after mile, with not a hill or mountain in sight and completely lacking in scenery. Thankfully, we had wonderful company staying in an adjacent caravan: our neighbours from home! They truly made our short holiday so enjoyable and memorable!

Liked: Cannot find a single fault with the site. The caravan was spotlessly clean, the food was out of this world and the entertainment was amazing. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for guests. Will definitely be booking again in the near future.

Local attractions

Where else to start but Mablethorpe? There are plenty of the usual seaside entertainments here like crazy golf and a funfair, and you can also ride a sand train along the beach or head to a teen-friendly skatepark in the dunes. Walk through the Mablethorpe dunes (about 45 minutes on foot) to reach The Seal Sanctuary Wildlife Centre, then take a trip to the Donna Nook nature reserve (25 minutes’ drive) to see grey seals in the wild. Nature nurturers may also like to get down to Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (40 minutes) to see all sorts of seabirds or stroll on an accessible path. For a proper change of scenery, take your adventurous side down to Fantasy Island theme park (half an hour) for rides, rollercoasters and regular events. Too terrifying? Try Alford (15 minutes) or Louth (25 minutes) for excellent market browsing and other shopping, or get your boots on for a walk in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes).
