Liked: Very friendly service from the moment we arrived till the time we left. Was guided to our pitch by Mary, explained it was the first time in our new caravan and she supported us to get to the pitch without hesitation. The adult side of the site is exclusive and there are no children that enter there, having said that the children were all well behaved and the family area looked full of fun for the whole family. Very friendly all round. We will def be coming back thank you!

Liked: We spent Easter weekend in our folding camper here and we enjoyed every second of it! The warden was lovely, the site and facilities were clean and tidy. The children’s park was great! They even arranged an Easter Egg hunt for the kids!! We will definitely be back!

Liked: Lovely little campsite, everyone very welcoming and there was an Easter egg hunt for kids which the kids loved. Very clean, easy to find. Level pitches. We were furthest away from shower block but still not too far away.

The Robin Hood land of Sherwood Forest is 10 to 15 minutes' drive away, while kids and grownups can have a giddy good time swinging among the trees at the Sherwood Pines Go Ape. If you have under-10s in the party, brighten their day with a visit to Sundown Adventureland at Retford, a theme park with Angry Birds, pirates and a smugglers' cove among its many rides and play areas. The National Trust's Clumber Park will also keep small holidaymakers out of mischief for many (many) hours among its 3800 acres of lake, parkland, gardens and woodland; cycle hire is available to tackle some of the 20 miles of bike routes, and there's a secondhand bookshop for those who'd rather relax with a book by the water. Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 4 consecutive nights.
Kites are not permitted.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
Single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

Pitches: a £10.00 deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Safety

Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.
No vehicle movement between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
Units longer than 7 metres are not allowed.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 6:30 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.

Additional terms

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act and/or any of the following: American bulldog, Rottweiler, English bull terrier and any pitbull, Mastiff or Tosa.

Please note, there is no wi-fi coverage in the adults-only area.
