Non-electric grass pitch
Liked: Considering how close the location was to city centre, it was fairly remote wasn’t hardly any noise. The shower/ toilet facilities were in really good order as well.
Disliked: Felt a bit expensive, at reception I explained we have a tent box, and asked if it’s ok to leave the vehicle on the grass I did ask if there was any hard standing we could park on considering weather Conditions, one member of staff seemed really lovely the other not too much. In summary they said it was fine to just drive and stay on the grass. We drove to our designated pitch next to the water point which was very useful, but at night it seems to have the brightest light so if you are pitched up next to a water point be sure to have light proof shelter. That night it rained so much that if we had not packed up and moved the car when we decided to we would of been stuck. Can’t blame them for weather but I can’t see how spending 30 quid to be parked on water logged grass and having to leave early to avoid being stuck is feasible. Shouldn’t be that expensive!

Electric grass pitch
Liked: Layout of the park, close proximity to the play area for our young children. Staff were very helpful when needing a late check out
Disliked: Some people didn’t seem to respect the quiet time period. Wish there was a little more room in the showers to hang your clothes without the risk of getting wet as the shower curtain was missing

Electric grass pitch
Liked: I like the easy access due to been emailed all the information needed and map of the site and all access codes for the barrier and toilets and pitch number The toilets and showers was in very good condition and always clean The site is very clean and the pitches are very spacious There is so much to do that I'm going to have to go back several times and for longer to get through the activities that we can do at our age, if you young people then you need a lot longer Shop on site and the staff very welcoming
Disliked: The weather on leaving day although they can't control that

Electric grass pitch
Liked: The children's play area is quite good.
Disliked: The pitch was very wet. The lady in the shop is very disagreeable. The shop has almost nothing in it. There were a load of youths in tents playing music and partying until 1am in the morning. There is no one on site to complain to and keep order. The Pot wash area is outside and has no plug for the sink. The showers and toilets are dirty all the time and the ladies does not lock so no point sending a code to get in with. Very disappointed and will not be going again.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: The Actual Watersports Centre and surrounding area us great.
Disliked: Campsite shop is very poor, don't even stock the bear essentials. Park Veiw Hard Standings are very small, health and safty issues if you use an awning on these pitches. We was greeted on the Saturday night with drunk idiots playing loud music and shouting till the early hours. No staff or Security on site in the evenings. A return visit to this Campsite is definitely NO GO for us.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Very disappointed, I hadn't received my pitch allocation on the day I would normally so emailed to enquire only to receive an email cancelling our booking!!! Which was the day before our booking!!! I then needed to find accommodation as we were going to a racing event at Holme Pierrepont so couldn't just cancel our plans. I only used this campsite as its convenient for the centre but after this weekend I have and will be using another campsite. I am wait for a full refund. The pictures of the site are miss leading and the shower and toilet blocks need a lot of updating

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: I know we've had excessive wet weather! We arrived at the site at 14.15, and reception was closed. As we had the barrier pass code sent, we carried on to the allocated pitch (a hardstanding) that was just the width of our motorhome, 2.3 metres. The grass area surrounding was boggy. It was a fine afternoon, and our thoughts of sitting out was scuppered due to the muddy areas, and bear in mind, we had to exit and enter over this area. Having decided to scout for a more ideal pitch to park on, one of the wardens (Tom) drove through the barrier. Due to him being the only member of the staff we could talk to, he explained nobody was working the reception, and gave a phone number to phone, to discuss our issue. My wife phoned it and Tom had carried on around the site. Tom answered the call, and to his dismay, the contact number was on divert to him. He then gave us another number, direct to Rosie, one of the main office girls. I phoned Rosie (lovely girl and obliging), I explained what we'd found, and also that we'd been to see the amenities in the mean while, and looked proper outdated, probably built in the 50's. Our conversation went on to me asking to cancel the three nights stay due to the poor conditions and get a total refund.
