Liked: Super chilled simple site - loads of space and plenty of sunny spots. Toilets/water and straight forward check in. Kind and friendly owner. What's not to like?! We would recommend and return 👌

Liked: Plenty of toilets, portaloos were clean and well stocked with soap and toilet paper, I liked the choice of pitch, plenty of space.

Disliked: Cold showers!

Liked: Location was beautiful, the porta-loos were mostly clean and people on the campsite respected the rules (one party were playing loud music but did stop around 10pm)

Disliked: Price. For what was on offer, (porta-loos and cold water showers) the £25 a night for a tent pitch did feel a bit steep. However, it appears that's the going rate for tent pitches nowadays.

From the manager: So glad you enjoyed your stay George. Exactly as you say it is the going rate these days, but also £25 per pitch is the peak bank holiday rates, our pitches are £20 per pitch when not booking for a bank holiday. Worth noting that the pitch also does include up to 4 people.

Peaceful, quiet, rural. Back to basics in good way!

Liked: Beautiful setting, easy check in, peaceful, back to basics in a good way! Amazing bird of prey circling - buzzard or red kite? We weren’t sure. We stayed one night and went to a friend’s birthday in a neighbouring village. Didcot Taxis found us and dropped us off easily. Good phone signal. Highly recommend .

Liked: Good location, nice views, back to basics. Field was very large with loads of room for the kids to run and play. Firepits were fantastic to have and there were so many Red Kites flying around.

On a summer’s evening, there’s nothing quite like messing about on the river – hire a boat nearby at Wallingford Bridge or Benson Waterfront (both five minutes' drive). Sipping a glass of wine comes a close second, so Brightwell Vineyard (10 minutes) could be a good shout too. For wildlife enthusiasts, Cholsey Marsh Nature Reserve is 10 minutes away by car or a pleasant hour’s walk taking in the Thames Path along the river. And children (and quite possibly grownups) are bound to love a visit to Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary (15 minutes’ drive). Booking terms and conditions

Admission

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available pitch on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a £2.00 fee.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Facilities/activities including campfires and blocks are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Flammable fluids and petrol cannisters are not permitted.
Please note that the shower facilities are unisex.

Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 8 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
No electric barbecues allowed.
