Electric grass and earth pitch

Liked: campsite very basic

Disliked: On arrival at the campsite it was very disappointing to find that the grass had been cut but was about 2 foot tall so had to walk it down to get to the electrical hook up that was in think over grown grass ,with the remains of the grass just left with out it being picked up after it had been cut so it ended up being walked in the motorhome / awning . on checking out the wooden shed / toilet block it was also disappointing to see that it was not cleaned up by the site owners there was one toilet that was unable to be used due to the toilet seat being dirty with the toilets both soiled in the pans from the previous person who had used it with no toilet brushes in the only two toilets and the one shower was in a very bad condition with the remains of shampoo and shower bottles left on the floor from the last person there was also no paper towels or a hand dryer to use after washing your hands. The bin area which is based in the middle of the campsite was also not emptied from the time that we arrived and was overflowing by the time we left.

Electric grass and earth pitch

Liked: Didn’t stay

Disliked: Didn’t stay. Field was not able to be driven on as too muddy. Was told to just park wherever you can. Not many electric hook ups working. Derelict vans and boats everywhere. Grass wasn’t even cut

Electric grass and earth pitch

Liked: Easy access Close to all amenities, with 4 pubs, 2 mini markets and a selection of fast food outlets within a 5 minute walk. Also some great countryside walks. Cheap at £25 per night with EHU and Toilets with grey and Toilet waste disposal.

Disliked: Cut the grass, mark out some decent pitches so people know where to park not a free for all. Some full timers on that live in vans that should be condemned. Could be so much more with a bit of work Don't advertise showers when there is none.

Local attractions

For those of you who thought you’d have to make a choice between the countryside or the coast, there’s no need to fret here, as Great Yarmouth beach (half an hour’s drive) is hardly a long drive away and there are lots of things to do, thanks to the amusement piers, sandy shore and funfair. With a traditional seaside visit under your belt, next on the horizon could be a couple of places very close by. Perhaps Stubb Farm Alpacas (five minutes’ drive) for alpaca treks? Tasting your way around the Chet and Waveney Valley Vineyard (10 minutes)? A walk around Raveningham Gardens (10 minutes), followed by a hot brew in their tearoom? Slightly further out, you might want to take a look around the working Hardley Mill (15 minutes) or spy on the wildlife around the Earsham Wetland Centre (15 minutes). Otherwise, Norwich (20 minutes) is not far away for a taste of the city life, shopping, museums and medieval cathedral included. Steam engines are the speciality at the Strumpshaw Hall Steam Museum (half an hour), but for those of you looking for quite an action-packed day for the kids will also be well set with a visit to the Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (35 minutes).
