  • Family-friendly site next door to a well-established Suffolk farm park
  • A 15-minute drive from Woodbridge; half an hour from the Suffolk coast
  • Family-friendly country pub a 10-minute stroll away
With friendly animals to ruffle and family train rides to take, it’s no wonder that numerous nippers (and a good handful of grownups, to be fair) have expressed a desire to take up residence when visiting a farm park. And here at Suffolk’s Easton Farm Park they can do (almost) exactly that. While the animals take a bit of an overnight rest from the constant adoration, guests can pitch up in the fields right next door, ready to get back in for more farmyard action the following day. (And as a special treat, those staying here can sashay in and out of the park as much as they like once they’ve paid a single entry fee…) The folk here have been welcoming guests to their gorgeous little rural spot for 40 years or so, learning a thing or two about what makes a good stay along the way – as a result, the bathroom facilities here are particularly fine, with bonus points for such things as underfloor heating and plenty of mirrors in the ladies’ section. The dog-friendly site has Barrel Bug safari and family train rides for families too. Finishing up a farm day with a barbecue or campfire is a fine idea, if that’s what you fancy (both are allowed on site); there’s also a family-friendly country pub a 10-minute stroll away in the village of Easton, for evenings when you’d rather have someone else sort the eats for you while you partake of a local ale or few.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Lovely campsite with great facilities. Loved the wild camping pitch area, very beautiful surroundings. The farm has a great adventure playground, which my kids (and I) enjoyed playing in. The farm is great too, with lots of activities going on. The WiFi was also pretty good while visiting the farm - not something that’s always available or all that good when it is at campsites. And 4G was pretty good too especially given its location.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: We were really pleased with the camping at Easton Farm. The campsite was spacious , the facilities we plentiful and clean and the single pay admission to the farm for the duration of our stay was great. We all had a lovely time and would definitely visit again. Dog friendly too :o)

Disliked: There was nothing at all we disliked :0)

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Staying close to the farm, relaxed environment. The on-site shop which opened at 5pm sold a bit everything. The farm itself is suited to young children. This place has great potential as it expands and gets new facilities.

Disliked: The facilities are inadequate or not cleaned often enough for the amount of visitors staying on the site. With 70 pitches mostly families, (on average 4 people) that’s 280 guests, with only 4 showers in each block that’s 35 people per shower! Awful!! Also pitches 1-4 are are at the bottom of a slope making them dark & muddy.

From the manager: Thank you for the review and your feedback. During the busy holiday period the shower block is being deep cleaned twice daily and checked more frequently to ensure it is as clean as it can be. We also have the family room with bath and disabled shower in addition to the gents and ladies facilities. I can assure you that not everybody is showering at the same time of day, or even every day as they are getting a good clean at the foam party! This enables us to clean both in the morning and late at night. We also request our guests to leave the shower block as clean as they can when they do use it. Apologies if you found this not to be the case when you were trying to shower.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: The facilities were well maintained and of higher standard than we expected. The farm was great for the kids. The site is a ten minute walk from the nearest village, which has a lovely pub with a garden. Overall we were very pleased.

Disliked: Wi-Fi was patchy on the site.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Adjoining Park Farm is fantastic for young children, in terms of both the park itself but also the convenience of wondering in and out without the need to pack for a day out! Small play area in the campsite itself also very much appreciated! Relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of spacing with pitches. Lovely staff in the park / on site. Fully provisioned for all travellers - including toilet/washing facilities, communal fridge/freezer, washing machines, small but well stocked supply hut, chemical waste disposal point etc.

Disliked: For us one minor issue. Large groups are permitted which in itself is fine and sadly often not permitted by many sites! However one large group on our stay were often quite loud beyond 10pm, including young children playing & screaming. As the park is particularly suitable for young children who may still have earlier bed times, a little reminder from site staff to minimise noise after a certain time might be useful. This may only have been an issue for us because it is a very open/exposed field so perhaps they weren't actually that loud and simply the sound travels further than expected! Tuck shop seemed a little pricey but perhaps that's just inflation nowadays! Neither of these have put us off wanting to come back. Overall the benefits significantly outweighed these points.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Absolutely perfect for children and families. Shower block is of a high standard. Disabled facilities are the best yet. The wristband visit deal is exceptional value. All staff are friendly and professional. We will certainly be coming back many more times yet.

Disliked: A real mix of families- some lively (but not chav) evenings; and we are the family who likes our children asleep by 9pm. Flipside is its beautiful to see families mingling into the night. Just don't expect peace every night lol. WiFi doesn't reach the camping field.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: The shop, showers, donkeys and horses over the fence.

Disliked: Open fires, so many people had them we had to close caravan windows. Huge tents were being put up on single pitches with metres of windbreaks added as well. This made them far too close to us and seemed that they took priority. Perhaps we are too old for this seemingly overcrowded site

Local attractions

Attractions don’t really come much closer than having a farm park right next door… and Easton Farm Park’s a well-established one with a café, a giant jumping pillow, an indoor soft play area and a green trail that’s great for spotting some of the nature around the 30-acre site. Plus, of course, there’s a friendly bunch of horses, sheep, pigs, cows, goats and chickens to make pals with. If there’s one thing that might tempt the tiddlers away from the farm’s charms, it’s surely a trip to the beach – it’ll take about half an hour to drive over to the Suffolk coast for fish and chips on the beach in Aldeburgh, or to paddle boats on the lake at Thorpeness Meare. Suffolk’s so heavily tied up with farming history that it’s even got its own breed of horse, which you can admire over at the Suffolk Punch Trust in Woodbridge (15 minutes’ drive). While you’re over there, have a stroll around the smart pile at Sutton Hoo and play with the interactive exhibits at the Tide Mill museum.
