Electric grass pitch
Liked: Lucy the owner sent us details before we arrived on directions to the site on arrival we phoned Lucy to gain access to the site using the code that she gave us. Lucy explained that due to grass being wet we had a hardstanding pitch. The site was clean. The pitches were large and we were able to put an awning up. The showers and toilet area was spotless. There was access to the water at each pitch which was good. Lucy gave us directions to get to the canal and local pubs and shops. We went to Nantwich Market and got discount on cheese from their cheese stall the cheese was delicious. The site was quite and added reassurance of the coded gates. We will see you again in July.
Disliked: The ladies showers didn't have much water pressure. And the codes were changed for the gates while we were there and we wasn't informed of the change so we were putting the old code in. The shop is advertised as being open but it wasn't I don't no if this is because its the start of the season No WiFi

From the manager: Hello Christine, Thankyou for your kind comments. I'm sorry about the code change, luckily someone else let you in. I open the shop by request at this time of year, so I apologise if that was not clear on the website. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Liked: Modern and clean. All very new. Lovely lady who met us on arrival. Clean and tidy all round. Big sky so lovely views looking up at night.
Disliked: Few minor issues need to be looked at. No grey waste disposal. Wash basin in bathroom was one big one rather than individual, which didn’t seem appropriate. No separate tap to clean toilet waste. It’s a lovely site. Felt like it needed ‘finishing off’.

From the manager: Hi Andrew, Thank you for your comments. I am sorry I did not specify the grey waste, as there is somewhere to put it. Washbasins are installed now, so I'm sorry you don't like them. There is a tap right next to the chemical waste store as other guests asked for it and I installed it recently. I look forward to seeing you again.

Liked: The shower and toilet block was the cleanest I have ever seen. All facilities were of the highest quality. It was warm and bright. Welcoming site owner, who asked if we needed local information. She stayed and chatted which was lovely. Pitches level and roomy. Evidence of a good level of maintenance. Fresh plantings of trees and shrubs.

Liked: For those that love spotlessly clean toilet blocks you'll love this place 15-minute walk to the nearest pub the does a really nice Sunday roast
Disliked: The post to enter the code to open the gate is too far away and you have to get out of the car the waterpoint nearest star pitch is also next to the chemical waste tank and people use this to clean out their toilet cassettes another tap is needed also the tank hasn't been buried so you have to lift your grey water tank three foot high to be able to empty it and the site could do with much better drainage please don't get me wrong we had a great time but a new size needs to know it's teething problems
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Dear Colin, Thank you for your comments. For clarity: The gate post was deliberately set back to avoid collisions with wide vehicles (ie. caravans ) The chemical waste is for chemical waste NOT grey water. It is located above ground to enable me to move it easily if needed. The tap was put there by request (of previous guests) to facilitate the washing of vessels. There are more taps on site, which might involve a 100m walk. Regarding drainage, the weekend you visited was probably the wettest, compounded by months of unseasonal rain. The field is drained and other guests commented how quickly the water had gone away. The grass pitches are not open at this time of year for that very reason.
