Liked: The whole site was very clean, surrounded by gorgeous country side and very cute animals. The staff running it were lovely, helpful and friendly. Amazing location right next to a river where the dogs and children spent all day playing

Liked: It was a well maintained site with beautiful views. A man came round giving out bin bags and then back to collect when they were full. He also sold wood and provided us with a fire pit. There was no charge for the fire pit. They are building a new toilet/shower block to improve facilities more. Excellent - we will definitely be back.

Liked: Absolutely amazing Easter weekend for ourselves and our grandson. He had the best time feeding the animals and watching the animals being born. Very welcoming and genuine caring owners. The barn was fantastic with live music and activities for the kids. Highly recommend we have found a little gem. Thanks Brian

Liked: The campsite is situated in a beautiful place, very close to a river and its fields are well looked after. The owners and staff are amazingly kind, relaxed and helpful. My kids loved to feed the lambs and play with them. This campsite is very simple which allows you to connect with nature even better. We are allowed to make fire and the campsite provides lots and the fire pits as well. The highlight for my family was the opportunity to ride horses and ponies for the first time. My kids absolutely loved it. This campsite has a barn with some toys, a pool table and serves drinks and food (some times). We haven't tried the food as we were always out and used the campsite only to sleep. You can stay in a quieter area or you can choose the wood field if you like to stay up late. There are 2 shower units closer to the barn and you pay £3 per shower. It is very simple but it works. There is a sink with water in the middle of the first field where you can do your washing up. The campsite is about 1h away from windermere lake and allows you to book only for a night. We stayed there for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it.
Disliked: The only downside for me is that there is no way of telling if a pitch is taken in case you have a campervan or a motorhome and use it to travel whilst staying at the campsite. If you don't leave anything behind like we did (camping chairs and table to secure our place) it will be very certain that when you come back, your pitch has been taken by other campers. Apart from that we loved everything!

Liked: Its a lovely location kids loved the open fields and seeing the animals My children fed the lambs also which was a good activity Shops all local
Disliked: There was only one source of water which was just a tap toilets were basic had no roof so when it rained was all wet and muddy No stinks so couldn't wash pots or hands etc The showers were opposite the horse stables abit away from the toilets was abit random Did look like they was doing work round the toilet area so maybe they was refurbishing them not 100%

Liked: Lovely pitches, lots of space. Loved the barn with music, bar and things for children to do. The animals and horse riding really was an added bonus. The toilets, portaloos and showers were always very clean. Showers were hot and had plenty of space so much easier for showering the kids off. Staff where all so friendly and ensured everyone was enjoying themselves and that the children where entertained. Logs brought to the pitch. Can’t wait to go back again.
