  • Pop-up campsite on working farm close to Fordingbridge in Hampshire
  • A 10-minute drive to the New Forest National Park and Water Park
  • Generous pitches, a kitchenette and wildlife on site; close to beaches
Sleepbrook Farm’s 10-acre Old Meadow camping field is set on a working farm, overlooking the Hampshire countryside and woodland near Fordingbridge. The Sleep brook meanders across the bottom of the farm, making this just the spot for a relaxing break with birdsong and wildlife in abundance. The location offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful countryside retreat with tracks and paths right on site for family walks – yet a short drive from popular tourist destinations including the New Forest National Park, Bournemouth and the Jurassic Coast. There are plenty of perimeter pitches to choose from and well-behaved dogs are welcome (as are their owners). If you’re lucky, you’ll catch sight of buzzards and deer, as well as grazing farm cattle – and on clear nights, look up into the star-filled sky and you may even see the International Space Station flying over. On-site facilities include eight impeccably kept chemical toilets, two shower units and a cabin with washing-up facilities, a fridge, freezer and microwave so you can keep the family fed and watered – even though there are plenty of quality pubs, restaurants and takeaways in less than a 15-minute drive.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: I really liked the amount of space between tents and the fact that they want to keep it that way. It made a difference to the usual busy campsites where you are on top of one another.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: We loved the amount of space that we had and the quiet. We also enjoyed the use of a fire pit. Toilets and showers were all really clean, and the washing area was useful with phone charging point for the kids phones.

Disliked: Nothing really. Ideally toilets would be compost ones rather than portaloo but understand that might not be feasible for pop up campsite.

Liked: Loved the field itself. Basic campsite which was exactly what we were after. Lovely owner who greeted us and was around should there have been any issues, which there weren't.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The site had all the facilities you would need, it was perfect with little ones. There are showers, toilets and separate building with a sink, hot water, fridge/ freezer, microwave and all were kept clean everyday. The site is surrounded by farming fields with corn and deer. We also enjoyed looking up to the sky at night ⭐️ It is 4 minutes away (by car) to the local shop. The owners are just lovely, friendly and we’re quick to respond to phone calls or messages. The family are amazing! Everyone camping on this site were friendly and the children all made friends, playing games in the middle of the field. Overall, would definitely recommend and I will definitely be returning next year!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Great location - delivered what it promised. The field was huge, with plenty of room for children to play. Genuinely friendly, helpful hosts made us feel very welcome. We like the option to rent a huge firepit, and that there was a shared kitchen with large fridge freezer available for all to use. All facilities were clean and well maintained - daily cleaning of toilets and showers. Hosts did a round of the site each evening to make sure everyone was OK, and to provide help and information when needed.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
