Liked: Countryside location, nice walks in local area. After booking and reading some of the reviews I was a little apprehensive, but I needn't have been. Yes there is only 1 toilet and shower, but it wasn't an issue, it was always available when we needed to use it, yes it was over a 'road' but this is a narrow country lane which in the 2 nights we were there had more horses than vehicles use it.

Liked: The field was nicely kept and maintained.
Disliked: A family brought a group of 7 boys for a birthday party which kind of took over the place as it states unlimited space, so there were goals posts up and footballs. As it wasn't the largest of fields it impacted on us three other camping couples. This isn't a major dislike, we were just unlucky, but unfortunately there does not seem to be any awareness from the owners who is in the field.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Where do I start? Considering it has a score of 9.5 it is surprising there is so much to dislike. There was a picture of a flat field but this a small field and is not flat it is sloping. There is a picture of a shower and toilet room and this was dirty and you had to cross the road to get to it and shared with the whole world. Check in was odd. Eventually worked out that check in was someone's house and had to ring the door. Security on the site non existent as just an unlocked gate. All in all we would prefer to wild camp and save the 20 quid. Avoid at all costs. If I could give minus 1 I would have. We did not even stay the night. Pict up should should remove it or at least just list as a camping field with no facilities

From the manager: We’re sorry your experience didn’t match expectations. Maybe you should read a little bit further than our rating then you’d know what to expect. We claim to be nothing but a small simple site. It is clearly written in the description and obviously our other customers were happy with what we supply or all our ratings would be like yours. We have just four units in our field for you to share facilities with and actually the campers on the night of your stay were self-contained. I assure you that all the photos included are from our site; many directly from happy campers. I guess this is your first time camping on a farm site, most do not supply a barrier. It sounds like you would be better suited to a larger, more commercial operation in the future.
Was greeted by owner nice people.

Liked: Excellent shower and toilet facilities, quiet and beautiful area. Some lovely walks up and down the country lanes. The campsite is small and secluded, and I loved the mature hedges marking the field boundary - lots of beautiful birds and a glorious dawn chorus.
Disliked: None.
