  • Adults-only, off-grid glampsite in spectacular Cornish countryside
  • Newquay surfing beaches 15 minutes’ drive; Eden Project 45 minutes
  • Eco-friendly bell tents; communal outdoor kitchen and firepit
Set on a quiet lane with open views across Cornish valleys, The Paddock Wildcamp was a labour of love for its owners, who’ve slowly transformed it from an overgrown field into a peaceful, adults-only hideaway 10 minutes’ drive from Perranporth Beach. The stylish bell tents have been fashioned from recycled materials, and everything on site is crafted with sustainability in mind. Each unit has a double bed (guests need to provide their own bedding), plates, cups, cutlery and cooking gear. There is a shared firepit if you’re feeling sociable, plus an outdoor kitchen with a gas stove and barbecue. Everything is driven by solar power, so USB charging is available for phones and tablets, although a charge bank can be supplied for you to charge phones in your tent (please bring cables). Hens and ducks roam free during the day and are excellent at producing delicious eggs that are available to buy – highly recommended for your breakfast. Spend your days relaxing and listening to birdsong, watching the swifts and swallows swoop down in summer, or buzzards soaring overhead. Alternatively, explore local walks, villages and the many places of interest Cornwall has up its sleeve – and if you surf, Newquay is 15 minutes by car. After all that activity, get back to home base on clear days to watch stunning Cornish sunsets while cosying up around the firepit.
