  • Dog-friendly glampsite in St Agnes with luxury ensuite safari tents
  • A 10-minute drive from Perranporth beach and St Agnes' cove
  • Yoga classes and facials on site; private barbecues and kitchens
Bag yourself a break beach-hopping on Cornwall's northern coast while at Wrinklers Wood Glamping, safe in the knowledge you’ll be returning to a scenic site in a wild meadow overlooking old oak trees once stints on the sand are finished with. Spend days at the coast (Perranporth beach and St Agnes’ cove are both a 10-minute drive), then head back to your swanky safari tent to rinse the sand off in the ensuite before stretching out at an on-site yoga class or undertaking a wellbeing treatment. Once you’re feeling suitably relaxed, continue resting in your accommodation: each safari tent comes with home comforts like a large living space with a sofa, chairs and a generous dining table, plus a double cabin bed that can be curtained off for privacy. In the kitted-out kitchen area, a fridge, sink and two-ring gas stove are on hand for sorting meals and there's a large woodburner and range to keep toes toasty during the colder months. If the weather’s balmy enough, step out of the tent and into the surrounding scenery, making the most of the fantastic views by firing up the barbecue or chilling around the open fire and tucking into a pizza cooked on site in the woodfired oven. A little too stuffed after your meal? Hire a bike from this dog-friendly park and cycle off the indulgences on one of the routes leaving directly from your tent or wander through the woodland (and stop off for a swift pint in one of the local pubs).

Local attractions

One of the north Cornish coast’s best beaches, the wide and sandy Perranporth is a 10-minute drive from this site. The smaller cove at St Agnes is about the same distance away and both stretches of sand are stellar for surfing and other watersports. Ride the waves with the help of a local surf school or sign up for a guided kayaking tour. If you’d rather opt for activities on dry land, get yourself over to the Goonbell Riding Centre for a lesson (10 minutes) or cycle along the Mineral Tramways Coast to Coast starting from Portreath (20 minutes). For less exertion during explores, join the Lappa Valley Steam Railway (20 minutes away) and tour the cracking countryside with your feet up before stopping off at the kid-friendly East Wheal Rose leisure area. Newquay’s also a hit with the tiddlers – head to this town for the buff beaches and zoo (20 minutes), and for more family-focused days out, wander over to see the wildlife at Paradise Park (25 minutes).
