Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Absolutely gorgeous location, overlooking Padstow/Rock port towns. It wasnât very busy, which meant it was blissfully quiet.
Disliked: The toilets were disgusting. We understand this is wild camping but the portaloos were just filthy and didnât flush. The directions for where to camp were unclear as there was a distinct lack of signage. We had to move our tent after one night which was not ideal, (we camped in what turned out to be an exclusive field for one glamping tent only, but there was nothing to suggest we werenât allowed to pitch there.) the communication was unfortunately not very good either. On arrival at around 2pm, because of the lack of signage, we tried to get in contact with the hosts to no avail. We were eventually woken up by a call back from them at 10:30pm, by which point weâd already pitched up.

Liked: The view was absolutely incredible, and only a half an hour walk to Padstow and a lovely boat taxi which took us to Rock. We arrived on a Thursday and we had the entire place to ourselves for the night. Fellow campers arrived at the week end who were lovely.
Disliked: The toilets werenât the best but they did the job!

Liked: Lovely, peaceful place to camp out for a night or two. We loved the incredible views over the camel river (beautiful sunrise and sunset!) and that it was easy walking distance to Padstow. Facilities were basic but that makes it feel like wild camping. Would definitely come back.
