Electric grass pitch

Liked: The tractor ride and animal feeding was a great experience for all including adults. It’s FREE which makes it great, the food in the club is very good, massive portions value for money. There are a lot of play areas dotted around the site. Also a ball games only area which is great, shower blocks are very well maintained. Pitch sizes are very good also, staff are all welcoming and nice.

Disliked: Games room let us down abit as I won a prize on one of the machines but they couldn’t get the toy out as they told me the machines are sub letted, I wasn’t compensated for the money I had spent. The clubhouse only opens at 6pm it would be good if they opened up earlier.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the games machine not working. We will certainly look into this.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Spacious pitches with great views. Flat and easy to access. Loved the animals. The road noise wasn't an issue. There was a lovely coffee van selling breakfast rolls etc.

Disliked: Toilets were an issue, cleanliness of some people isn't top priority, infact I dreaded going to them by the evening. Although this isn't a fault of the owners but I think they need to be cleaned twice a day. Also a sign up saying no scootering or cycling round the toilet blocks. The kids didn't care who they crashed into.

Local attractions

You might be all of a dither trying to decide which Devon attraction to visit first, as coast, country, active options and peaceful pursuits are all near Parkers Farm, whether you prefer off the beaten track or more famed areas like Dartmoor National Park. Beaches first? Your pitch is a paltry 12 miles from the Devon coastline and the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. If you’d like to cram as much activity as possible into one area, Dartmoor National Park's your spot: start off with horse riding or pony trekking from one of the several stables (the park has different areas marked off for different levels of rider). More urban(e)ly, Exeter, Newton Abbot and Ashburton are close to hand too if you fancy some shopping, a dip in Ashburton’s heated outdoor pool or a small flutter at Exeter Racecourse on the Haldon Hills.
