  • Dog-friendly pop-up farm site two miles from the Jurassic Coast
  • A five-minute drive from Swanage beach, steam train and Dancing Ledge
  • Firepits to hire; woodland walks, shop and pub a short walk away
From chugging along the steam railway to snorkelling and kayaking at sea, there are lots of ways to explore the Jurassic Coast – and you can take your pick most easily, as it's just five minutes’ drive away from Wilkswood Farm Campsite. At this relaxed dog-friendly site on a working sheep and beef farm, the pitches are a five-minute drive away from Swanage beach and Dancing Ledge and 20 minutes from Knoll Beach Studland. As a pop-up site, there are basic facilities including a portable toilet and dishwashing area. Directly from the site, you can wander down a bridleway into the woods to walk your dog or simply sit back and gaze over the sublime views, including a treetop view towards Swanage. There’s the coastal path too, of course, and cycling paths in the surrounding area. This site is family-friendly with plenty of safe and level-grounded spaces for energetic kids to burn themselves out a little. In the evening, you may want to unwind over a firepit – if so, there are firepits available to hire on site. While the site feels peaceful, it’s certainly not cut off. Just off the main road to Swanage, the beach is within walking distance (it’s an hour’s walk away). You may also want to walk to Harman’s Cross (25 minutes’ walk) to catch the train to Swanage or Corfe Castle, or to Langton Matravers (15 minutes), where there’s a village shop, deli and pub.
