Liked: I booked for one night and stayed for three. Hs or grass pitch with ehu if needed. Clean toilet/shower facilities and a washing machine for a donation. Nice location and easy to find. I will definatly use as a stopover when passing through the area.

Electric hardstanding pitch
Liked: The small site feel, very pleasant. Friendly staff, good facilities (with some caveats). Nat Trust site adjacent and a good base for some lovely walks. Shower v good, toilets fine and honesty box for washing m/c a revelation. Bravo! V friendly site cat and dog.
Disliked: Disliked is a bit strong but, maybe the toilets (brand new) could benefit from a bit more tlc (doors needed a wipe and the floors a sweep, minor stuff but details matter). No hot water in laundry/wash-up through our 3 night stay - things break, I get it and we were made aware. Lots of weeds around hardstanding pitches. Not a huge problem but it does look unloved. Now I knew it was next to a railway line but it wasn’t emphasised. I was fine with it but some might struggle. Ideally, I would have liked to see defined pitches as it was a bit haphazard (our hook-up was immediately behind another guests caravan). Marking the pitches would ensure minimum distances for fire safety. Lastly (and in no way is this a fault of the site) but there’s no shop nearby, we had to go to Fovant (a nice walk - esp to see the Badges), for some milk etc. Again, a heads up would be useful.

Electric grass pitch
Liked: The site is right on the edge of a national trust trail and park with Phillips house close by, the footpath actually leads from the campsite across a field. Bluebells, buttercups and trees everywhere. The site itself is small but pitches are large, we had an electric grass pitch for a campervan.
Disliked: There is only one shower room, one male and one female toilet so, of busy, you may have to wait your turn. This wasn’t an issue during our stay though. It’s also right next to a rail track so can be noisy when trains go by.

Liked: Nice walk in the fields next to the site. Decent shower with hot water that you could change the temperature of and take off the wall.
Disliked: Did not seem very clean I.e. someone's towel left ganging in the shower room, dirty bucket next to women's toilet. Only 2 toilets and 1 shower available. The pitches seemed small and unmarked.

Electric hardstanding pitch
Liked: Very friendly owners, came straight to us as we pulled in. Two area to stay, one grass and one gravel. Easy pitching on a slight slope so used chocks. Beautiful area, excellent pub nearby. Bluebells everywhere. Next to national trust.
Disliked: Only two loos, one for male and one for female. Female loo was not very clean and there was a dirty bucket of water left in corner. Soap dispenser fell apart on use.

Liked: A nice, flat pitch with great views and access to a lovely walk straight from the campsite. We really liked the large shower room which catered. Good value for money with every amenity we needed
Disliked: Unaware of proximity of the train line to the campsite
