Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: The animals, the outdoor pool and indoor pool were great, even had free use of hairdryer when we came out. We were blessed with great weather so stayed in the pool a lot. There’s plenty to do, we have a 9yr old child

Disliked: The ‘arcade games’ were dated and in sad state. We lost in total around £5 feeding into games that had no notice on them yet were turned on and notice on the wall saying ‘no refunds’ which is a bit shocking to be honest and ridiculous. We were told by staff there they ‘only rent the room’ and we’re trying our best.. and would then come in and switch a machine off? Dreadful smell from septic tanks or pool room all around the cafe area - so strong where you are trying to eat food etc. Generally a bit run down in need of some money spent on upgrading facilities to keep up with standards normally experienced at this size of camp. Sad to see some really drunk people around and in particular standing chatting with cafe staff and the language coming out his mouth was disgusting - cafe full of young children and the staff laughing along with the guy? At times really unprofessional when I seen things like this. Also shocked that they were having a ‘fun day’ to celebrate pool being open again, burgers were £4 and bouncy castle £2.50 so really just a day to rake in some cash - not for people who had paid for pitches to have fun unless they are spending more aswell as feeding machines in arcade to be told no refunds.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: A wonderful place to stay, credit to the lady on reception, really upbeat and helpful. We used the outdoor pool( bring footwear), and the cafe facilities (hearty portions) the games room and the crazy golf.

Disliked: The only really minor issue was the stones around the pool. Painful on feet.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Great site enjoyed the pub very good food reasonably priced..

Disliked: The state people left the showers in even taking their dogs in.. Have to say the cleaners had a job against the world.. You have to wonder what some people's homes are like if they leave these showers in this state..

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: Was greeted by really friendly receptionist, who really made us feel welcome. Cleanliness of the toilets and showers was impeccable! Lovely pub, reasonably priced!👌Had shop onsite to buy essentials.

Disliked: Was our first time camping and struggled with the tent, we had nobody to help us, as the groundsman had a sore shoulder. That's our inexperience though, not his fault!🤣

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: Large serviced level pitch, plenty of grass and field to walk the dog. One of the bathroom blocks is a new unisex block with very nice individual WC and shower cubicles. The other block is an older traditional type. However, not sure there are enough facilities for high season. Had a lovely meal at the onsite pub, the Laird's Inn. Site also has pools and a cafe. Reasonably close to Galloway National park.

Disliked: Unable to access the Creetown beach which was a shame as had thought we'd be able to go to the beach.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Lovely site, very peaceful as it was not near school holidays. Lovely and clean and friendly staff. We weren’t able to sample the bar/restaurant as it was closed on the Tuesday we arrived, but we were able to order a take away.

Disliked: Not really a dislike, but there could be a sponge mop to use after a shower as floors a bit slippery. Also the shower base itself was a bit slippery too, so care needs to be taken. No TV signal
