Liked: The location was stunning, the pod was modern, clean and comfortable. The host John was an absolute star. He could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. The amenities close by were excellent and John was quick to point us in the direction of his local favourites.

Camping pod

Liked: We loved everything about this dog friendly accommodation. So much luxury squeezed into a glamping pod. The location is perfect for exploring the Loch Ness area. Easily the best thing about this place is John the host. Friendly and helpful, John was full of useful information from walks to restaurants and take away recommendations.

Disliked: There is NOTHING, repeat NOTHING, to dislike about this place

Camping pod

Liked: Spacious, everything needed for self catering provided had bbq and seating area off road parking felt relaxed and well positioned , great touch with hand book and doggy pack left under bed 🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Disliked: Nothing really negative to say !! Just one thing when we arrived didn’t recieve any details how to check in so had to knock on a door . Hoping it was the owners house which wasn’t ideal . But was sorted by family member. And followed by call from owner 😊

Local attractions

With such a prime location in Urquhart Bay, you might want to begin by exploring the lochside ruins that are the Urquhart Castle (55 minutes’ walk or five minutes’ drive) – there’s a former prison cell and a climbable tower. Hunt down some local waterfalls – at only 15 minutes’ walk from the site, the Falls of Divach could make a pretty spectacular post-breakfast stroll. As for other gorgeous Highland landscapes, get out over glens like Glen Urquhart (half an hour) and Glen Moriston (50 minutes). Inverness (half an hour), which has quite the offering too: a big swimming pool, a museum and art gallery and over Victorian footbridges on the river Ness, walks between the pines on the Ness Islands. If you want more hikes after that, the 79-mile-long Great Glen Way begins in Inverness and ends at Fort William in the west or there are trails in Abriachan (15 minutes).
