Liked: We liked the communication and it wasn't a problem to arrive late. Clear instructions,warm welcome. The site is clean with lovely shower facilities. Extra bonus was for us to be able to cook in the community kitchen,the kids were able to play games. We appreciated reduce waste ideas for unused food. It was a lovely initiative. We had lots of food on our last stay and we were happy to share the food,books and DVD's which we couldn't take home with us. We did rental touring holiday and they fly back to home country.

Liked: Staff so friendly. Cleanliness was off the scale. 11/10.. superb. Even had a little communal kitchen where you can cook with their facilities. Very modern shower block. Immaculate. Would highly recommend and will be returning. Beautiful and great value.

Liked: Cleanliness of the full park especially the toilet and shower block. Friendly welcoming staff with lovely.maintained grounds and walks for the dog.

Liked: Toilet block - Newly refurbished toilet and shower block which were well maintained and regularly cleaned. Pitches - Grass in great condition especially considering cars were parked on this. Barriers to separate pitches - generous in size. Kitchenette area - spacious with everything you would need to cook as well as games and books to use. Shop - onsite with basic essentials and reasonably priced. Staff - Friendly and informative

Disliked: Bbq's are allowed but you are not allowed a firepit

Liked: Relatively small site but packed with great facilities, all absolutely spotless. The kitchen/dining facility is fab with all you need to keep you going, kettle, microwave, hob etc. A small shop with sweets and treats, plus the essentials, and happy, helpful staff!

Linwater Caravan Park's locale means you're well set for both countryside and city days, or to break up a journey on your way north or south. Around the area, a mile away in a disused quarry is the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, with the biggest indoor climbing wall in the world (well worth tackling for the boasting rights gained for afterwards, one might suggest). The towpath walks of the Union Canal are nearby and the shows and exhibitions of the Royal Highland Showground are within four miles. You can also easily drive to the Kelpies, the biggest horsey structures on the planet, and to the Falkirk Wheel, the boat lift connecting the Union and the Forth and Clyde canals.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 3 day(s) before your arrival.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Protective masks must be worn at all times in common areas.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
The grocery shop is open between 01/04 and 31/10.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 1 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Pitches

Minimum spacing of 5 metres between pitches.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. between 01/04 and 31/10.
Reception is unmanned after 6 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors

Visitors must leave the premises by 9 p.m..
