  • Spacious and luxurious lodges with Sidlaw Hills views in Perthshire
  • Five minutes’ drive from Blairgowrie, and 20 minutes to Glamis Castle
  • Private hot tubs and fire pits; proper beds and well-equipped kitchens
If you’re looking for seclusion combined with luxury, you’ve hit the jackpot here. Cabins at the Roost near Blairgowrie in Perthshire is a farm site with just a few beautifully appointed glamping lodges – and the owners have thought of pretty much everything to make your holiday dreamy, from panoramic glass windows to private hot tubs. Oh, and with gorgeous Sidlaw Hills views thrown in. Sizeable and stylish, the wooden lodges come decked out for tip-top sojourns in the Highlands: all linen is provided, bedrooms have proper beds and bathrooms come with hot showers and heated towel rails, so you’ll be warm and cosy no matter what the weather is doing outside. You’ll never feel on top of each other in the spacious living areas, with massive, squishy sofas – all the better to watch the flat-screen TVs with sound bars (good for any inclement days). Separate dining areas and fully equipped kitchenettes (sink, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and kettle) are also both designed to make life easy and comfortable for you. Outside, ramp up the relaxation factor in the private hot tubs, nicely screened off to give you total privacy while still enjoying the views. If the weather is warm, why not barbecue on the firepit outside and watch the sun sink behind the hills from the tree-stump seating? The owners live on the farm, and on your meanderings about the place, you might encounter them (they’re happy to give sightseeing and dining recommendations) or their rare-breed Racka sheep and free-range turkeys.
