Liked: Great communication with the site owners, quick to respond to my email after I'd accidentally booked the wrong type of pitch. Also accepted us onto the site early after I'd mixed up the arrival times with another booking we have in a few weeks time. (Tired teacher vibes.) Great facilities, which were cleaned multiple times in the day! Loved the slab idea for the fire pit and getting to say hello to the animals in a morning. :) Thank you for having us to stay, such a beautiful location.
Disliked: Nothing to do with the site or the owners... just unfortunate to have pitched at the same time as a rather angry family that thought shouting was the answer to everything.

Liked: Myself and my partner with my 2 11 year old girls had 3 nights here over the weekend. It was one of our favourite ever camping trips. The site is so lovely, surrounded by their own farm animals and the owner even brought out a tiny baby goat that was only a few days old for our girls to see. The views are amazing there too and the site has clean toilets and shower blocks. Lovely owners and lovely site. Would definitely recommend.

Liked: Quite rural camp site. Campsite was small and peaceful. Kids loved seeing the animals. Toilet block and showers are cleaned daily and kept tidy. Electric showers are is good clean condition. If using sat nav to get there then avoid the 20% incline hill got to next turning. We made mistake and got stuck. Between local residents and the camp owner we managed to get to site. Camp owner is really helpful and polite. Amazing views from anywhere on the site.
Disliked: Sat nav needs to update the address as is quite hard to find but owner will help direct you to the site

Not level, heavily water logged, over 20° hills to get to it. Dirty.

Liked: Travelled with two older children, two younger children. Nothing for either.
Disliked: Entrance was heavily bogged down, so was the access to the showers. This led to facilities being dirty and wet. Given there was only two people in the camp you would expect this to be cleaner. As for "showers" it's singular, shower. Temperature fluctuates heavily during use with moderate to low pressure. You won't have a quiet night as there is livestock all around, geese, chickens and a rooster that always go when you get out of your rig. There wasn't much in the way of facilities, some that were listed were not present. Felt like an inconvenience to the owner that we had even booked.

From the manager: Thank you for your review on your 1 night stay in the worst weather imaginable. It seems however that you have made some inaccurate comments. You rang on your approach to ask for directions and I guided you to the site. I was in the field as you arrived and came over to helpfully direct you to the best place to pitch. It was very wet and windy so as soon as you drove into position I went back inside- not sure what else you expected? Unfortunately the whole country has had unprecedented wind & heavy rainfall for the time of year and everywhere the ground is saturated. We had in fact closed off the majority of pitches due to the weather. The toilet block is checked at least 3 times a day and during one of the checks the joint on a water pipe at the entrance was found to be burst open which would have caused low pressure. This was really obvious to see and it would have been useful to know that you had experienced a problem so it could have been rectified sooner. The description does clearly state that we are a rural small holding with animals and livestock around and please note that all listed facilities are present.
Really friendly easy going site/owner…
