Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Location is amazing, close to Llandudno, Conwy, Rhyll. Loved being able to see the cows and horse.

Disliked: Field very uneven, not really mown and very wet underfoot when we arrived. Difficult to find a place dry enough and flat enough to pitch the tent. We did find somewhere pretty close to other campers. Rain continued all weekend and field got wetter. Mud got worse, cars were churning the field by driving up and down to the toilet block rather than walking the few hundred meters up the farm track to the toilets. Many Campers were not considerate of others, playing music and large loud gatherings until late. Female toilets were as clean as could be with the amount of mud but male toilets were always dirty, probably due to the amount of unsupervised kids that kept going up and down to the toilet block. Toilet block dated but functional. Could be an amazing site due to its location but something needs to be done about the amount of flooding the field has during wet weather and campsite rules need reinforcing more.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Really nice campsite, clean toilets and nice shower block. Some nice walks and only a 10 minute drive into Llandudno. Went as a group of 19 with kids. Kids loved playing and could be free. Dog friendly and clean field for the amount of people staying it was well kept

Disliked: Only issue was one noisey group up until nearly 2am music blasting and shouting. To be fair staff came and told them to quieten down a few times not the campsites fault just inconsiderate group of people as the campsite was full and everyone quietened down at 11.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Great Location, lovely views. Loved how it was on a working farm.

Disliked: Very, very muddy, I appreciate it had rained but it was that bad our caravan started sinking and we struggled to tow it off. We had asked for hard standing which was a plot with big chunky pieces of slate/stone this made it very uneven and extremely difficult to level our caravan, also it sloped down at the back which was a bit of a nightmare. The areas next to us were just swamped out so our car was also constantly sinking. The facilities weren't that great either considering what we paid. We really tried to make the most of it and we loved the convenience of the location which was minutes from Llandudno and Conway but I'm sorry to say I wouldn't stay there again, it wasn't very well maintained.

Local attractions

Llandudno (10 minutes’ drive) is a cracking spot for a good wander, with shops, a pier, a promenade and a beach. You may spot a few goats wandering around the edge of town; they’ll have lost their way from Great Orme (20 minutes) just past Llandudno. The green limestone slopes of the Great Orme are not just for the goats, of course, with a tramway and a cable car providing access to the fab views from the 209-metre slope, a café or a playground. Back in Llandudno, get picked up by one of the open-top buses which run in summer from Llandudno Pier. They head over to stunning Conwy (10 minutes’ drive), past the spectacular 13th-century Conwy Castle, cobbled streets, bakeries and the cobbled streets typical of such a traditional Welsh port town.
