Local attractions

There are plenty of things do within the village itself and local, including… • A local swing park and green just 2 minutes walk away where children can play and run free. • There are several footpaths nearby which will take you on truly beautiful walks through the neighbouring fields and countryside to the local beaches. With plenty of points of interest to be seen along the way, including Blaen CYW nature reserve, coastal waterfalls and even a little wood where children and adults can explore, sit in hand made willow tree shelters and even PYO fruit off the trees. • Within walking distance are 3 beautiful country pubs and restaurants, all serving great food and drink, with entertainment regularly. • There is a local shop and post office within the village also should you require anything you may have forgotten or even send a postcard. • There is even a go kart and drive a supercar experience track/day to be had just a 5 minute drive away should you feel the need for some speed to your weekend. Paintball site just 10 minutes away in cowbridge • And if you wanted to pop in the car and explore a little further just a 15 minute drive away is the beautiful popular coastline of Ogmore and Southerndown where you could go fishing, surfing, explore the sand dunes or even Ogmore castle itself. or just sit back and enjoy the views across the bay with a coffee or ice cream or even both. • The very beautiful village of Cowbridge is also only a 15 minute drive away, with many shops, pubs, bars and restaurants catering to all needs. You could even order a Chinese takeaway to your pitch. • Just a 20 minutes drive could see you visiting 2 of Wales’ most popular and maybe hoistorical/legendary amusement parks in Barry Island and Porthcawl. Both have a variety of rides, attractions and arcades. Ideal for a day out with children. • A 30 minute drive could see you in the Heart of Wales, The Capital City, Cardiff. There is truly plenty to do and see all within walking distance and short drives from Willows meadow, a real chance to escape to the county for that peace and tranquillity and relaxation, or to use as a great base to go and explore some of the gems of south wales.
