Set in the grounds of a working livestock farm, Panoramic Camping and Glamping has a small number of spacious pitches in a six-acre hilltop meadow with wondrous views over Glamorgan hills to the sea. The owners have been running the farm since 2007 and as well as a few friendly hens, you’re likely to see cattle and a flock of Llanwenog sheep grazing when you are out and about on site. And that’s not all – if you’re lucky you might also see a gorgeous sunset or two over the Loughor Estuary. Located in a convenient but peaceful spot near Swansea that gives easy access to the M4 – handy when you’re planning day trips – you can head for the beaches of the Gower Peninsula or test your mettle with climbs in the Brecon Beacons National Park. You don’t even need to get in the car – there are plenty of rambling opportunities straight from the glamping field, so setting off on your own biking or hiking adventures is a breeze. Forgotten something? No problem, there are handy stores in the local villages of Pontlliw (five minutes’ drive) and Pontarddulais (10 minutes) – and guess what? There are pubs there too.

Primrose safari tent (four person)

Liked: I stayed here with my 2 young children and the facilities are great. The showers are lovely and hot and the cooking area outside is ideal. I'm planning on stopping there again but taking family down with me as there is plenty of room to do it.

Liked: A lovely site with breathtaking views and immaculate facilities. Fab! The individual cooking places for campers were really useful and fun. It's very exposed to the elements up there so the tables and worktops were a big help. The owner is really friendly and (rightly) proud of his campsite. I had an excellent Vodafone signal even though it's up in the hills. 100% recommended. PS: It is up a narrow road with a mile of single track road with steep sides to negotiate whichever way you chose to get there, so if that's an issue for you, have a quick check on google maps.

Liked: Fantastic views Each pitch gets a picnic area that is partially sheltered The site is small with a play area in the middle so it is easy to keep an eye on the children There is a fridge for each pitch

Disliked: The lights in the toilets were not working in both the women’s and gents toilets. At night time you could really only use one cubicle as a result. There are single track roads to access the site. There was one road that was better with more passing places.

Liked: We loved the entire set up! It was clean, well organised and had a true family feel. They had thought of everything. The tent was fantastic - a good size for 4 of us and the hamper on arrival was a wonderful treat! The kitchen area for each tent was outstanding - kitted out with everything you need for the entire trip, including washing up liquid, a sponge and tea towels!! I have never been to a campsite like it! Absolutely outstanding and we will be back. The children loved the park/toys that were available and having hot showers, hot running water to wash up, drinking water and toilets all within a few metres walk from your tent was enormously helpful.

Liked: Great facilities on super msite, the pitches are a very good size, we came with a 5m bell tent and had room to spare. The gazebo is a really great touch on each pitch and provided since much a much needed prep and seating area! Definitely keen to come back again!

Local attractions

Active types get out and about hiking and cycling in the Brecon Beacons National Park (40 minutes’ drive), and kayaking or following the sculpture trail at Lower Lliw Reservoir. Keen anglers bunker down for an afternoon’s carp fishing near Pontarddulais, and golfers can hone their handicap on the course close by (all 10 minutes’ drive). You might like to combine history and a jolly good stretch of the legs walking up to Carn Llechart Stone Circle and Cairn (half an hour), the biggest Bronze Age circle in Wales. Wildlife more your thing? Head to the WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre (25 minutes) to spot flamingoes and geese, or spend the day looking for rare butterflies, lizards or otters at the National Botanic Garden of Wales (half an hour). If the kids are demanding days at the seaside, head to the coast for fun-filled days on the sandy Gower Peninsula beaches (35 minutes). This being south Wales, you might need a rainy day option, so if the weather should turn on you, take off to the family-friendly and interactive National Waterfront Museum in Swansea (half an hour) and reward good behaviour with a go on the slides at neighbouring LC Waterpark.

Admission

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
The site will send you further check-in information 14 day(s) before your arrival.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a £10.00 fee.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
