The open field views provide bird watchers with the ideal spot to observe Red Kites which frequent the area; others are content to listen to the birdsong or are amused by the young lambs in nearby fields. Local lake and river fishing is nearby and there are golfing facilities throughout the county. Those with artistic talents may wish to draw, paint or photograph the outstanding scenery. Larger towns offer modern stores, supermarkets, garden centres and leisure facilities with swimming pools.
