Get in touch with your inner druids and dryads at Coed Temple Druid Wild Camping, a secluded, small-scale campsite with just a handful of pitches in rural West Wales. While it's only about 25 minutes' drive from the Pembrokeshire coast, this site is a place where you'll find it easy to escape the crowds, tune into nature and relax in a peaceful rural setting. This off-grid site is spacious and has lots to explore, including its very own stone circle. Swings and low-hanging branches for climbing are hidden under the beech trees waiting to be discovered by curious children and adults alike. There are also very good facilities, including hot showers, a composting toilet, a firepit and a wooden roundhouse where you can relax, seek shelter or make use of the communal cooking facilities. In the day, sit back and watch kites and other birds of prey circling overhead, or head out instead for active activities like wild swimming, cycling, watersports and walking in the surrounding area. In the evening, you can gather around the large firepit or head about a mile to the west to the small village of Maenclochog and its popular local pub. Please note that the camping field is set within the lands of a working intentional community and there will be people passing through to access various sites from time to time. Cars are to be parked in the designated area a short distance from the pitches (a wheelbarrow is available for transporting your gear).

It's also easy to get out and see the seaside, as Coed Temple Druid Wild Camping is 25 minutes' drive from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and its spectacular coast path. You're also within half an hour of the coastal castle at Cardigan and the Teifi Estuary, where dolphin spotting boat trips can be arranged. Want something a bit more off the beaten track, in keeping with the site you’re staying on? Visit peaceful stone circles like Gors Fawr (10 minutes), burial chambers like Gwal y Filiast (15 minutes) or Castell Henllys Iron Age Village (25 minutes).
