Liked: Facilities are kept immaculate! Jan was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, without being an ever present or overbearing. We arrived late and a note had been left giving us a choice of pitches, along with a contact number should we need any assistance. The next day some helpful local information had been left for us whilst we were out and it wasn't until the 3rd day until we actually met.

Route directions

From Haverfordwest take the A487 to St Davids. When you enter St Davids at the roundabout take the third exit (signposted Whitesands/Fishguard) and follow this bypass to the end. At the T-junction turn left and then first right (by the rugby club). Stay on this road, following the brown tourist sign for Tretio, for three miles. (You will pass through Rhodiad y Brenin and pass Pembrokeshire Sheepdogs.) Turn right (signposted Tretio) and follow the road for approximately 500 metres until you reach the site. (Satnav will take you across Tretio Common which is not suitable for long motorhomes or caravans.)

Beaches… lots of them. Walk across fields and farm tracks to hit the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and nearest (dog-friendly) beach in half an hour, drive to top surf spot Whitesands Bay in 10 minutes or so, or take a short drive north to gaze out over the Blue Lagoon in Abereiddy. For active adventures, local operators can arrange trips including coasteering, scuba diving, surfing, rock climbing, horse riding, kayaking and windsurfing – chat with the friendly folk on site for the best options. The Welsh weather being occasionally a tad unpredictable, it’s a good idea to have wet-weather plans up your sleeve: perhaps the bouncy Hangar 5 trampoline park half an hour away, or the nipper-pleasing Dr Beynon's Bug Farm, 10 minutes away (you can even feast on insect-based snacks here if you feel so inclined).

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Coronavirus

Reception is closed due to restrictions imposed by the coronavirus outbreak.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households.
Group bookings of 2 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
