  • Pop-up wild camping site in the picturesque Ludchurch village
  • A five-minute drive from two beaches and 20 minutes from Tenby
  • Barbecues permitted on site; seafood eateries a short drive away
Cheers to a Pembrokeshire break with ample coastal walks, beach days, family-friendly theme park trips and as many barbecues as you like. Chapelfields Camping is the setting for such a break. Based in the picturesque village of Ludchurch, this is a pop-up wild camping escape welcomes families and dogs to relax in the countryside… Bring your swimming gear, because there are two beaches within five minutes’ drive of the site, along with a selection of stunning eateries with sea views and fresh seasonal fish on most of the menus. Only 20 minutes’ drive away, the historic walled seaside town of Tenby is another option for a day by the sea. This is a top base for hiking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits too – on the coast or in the Pembrokeshire countryside. The beginning of the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be tracked down in Amroth, five minutes’ drive away. So, prepare yourself for some sublime views and stunning coastline all the way to St Dogmaels in the north (though don’t feel pressured to take on the whole route, of course). Whether you’re here for an adventure holiday or beach break, it’s a peaceful spot at the family-run Chapelfields Camping. There are portable toilets and a water pipe in the field, with plenty of room for a raised barbecue. Slabs are available upon request and if you’ve forgotten to bring your own barbecue, the site usually has kindling and firepits for sale and hire. The site owners are sure you’ll appreciate the countryside setting and encourage everyone to look after their pitch and the surrounding area. If you’re after tasty things to eat, the market town of Narberth is 10 minutes’ drive away too.
