Non-electric grass tent pitch (private bathroom amenities)

Liked: Very clean Very quite Very nice hosts Great location Great toilet, shower and kitchenette.( each pitch has its own! ) Amazing footpaths to walk and a nice beach to go for a swim if you are brave enough! We were offered a late checkout as there was no booking after us to have enough time to dry our tent as it was raining all weekend. Just perfect. I would definitely visit again

Disliked: A bit pricey compared to any campsite I’ve been. Could do with a rain cover on the washing up sink.( I guess it will be sorted at some point as it is a new site! ) While pitchup says check in is at 3 o’clock actually check in is is at 4. I found both a bit late as most campsites have check in from 1 o’clock. I find a bit inconvenient that check in and out is Mon-Fri and Fri-Mon. It could do with a bit more flexibility on that!

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review of our site. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay despite the weather not being great! You read our minds with the rain cover on the washing up area, it is in the pipeline I can assure you. Its good to get some constructive criticism as we will always be looking at ways to perfect our site. With regard to the check in times, we understand your frustration in not being able to check in earlier, however, because of the fact that we offer ensuite private facilities per pitch we have to ensure there is enough time to clean these and get them ready before the next set of guests arrive. Future plans include additional shared facility pitches where guests will be able to arrive a little earlier in the day. These pitches will though, be without the luxury of ensuite facilities. Local attractions

The Welsh Wildlife Centre (35 minutes’ drive) has loads of different hides and walking trails as well as resident water buffalo and the chance to spot otters on the Teifi river (nothing’s ever guaranteed when it comes to animals), while Llangloffan Fen (20 minutes) is the habitat of barn owls and hen harriers. You can book cruises from Neyland (45 minutes) to Skomer Island to watch comical puffin colonies, and you might get to see dolphins and Atlantic grey seals on the way as well. Kids can use up excess energy on bumper cars, go-karts and high ropes at Heatherton World of Activities (an hour), or go wild on the thrill rides at Oakwood Theme Park (45 minutes). Best-suited to younger children, there’s a petting zoo and walking safaris at Manor Wildlife Park (55 minutes). Newport is a cute seaside town packed with cafes, ice cream shops, a grocery store and a Monday produce market for replenishing supplies. Head west to Fishguard (both 10 minutes) for handy supermarkets and foodie options from pubs to takeaways.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
There is no reception at this site. Please check in at the Camp site instead.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 12 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a £10.00 fee.

Dogs

Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.

Hired accommodation

No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of £100.00 will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Occupancy

Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Pitches

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
No electric barbecues allowed.

Vehicles

No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
