Liked: Lovely little farm site with just a few pitches. Facilities are basic with composting loos but lovely hot showers. Easy to find and owner very welcoming.

Liked: The donkeys. The dogs (very friendly). The goats and sheep! Lovely couple who were very helpful and it was lovely seeing all the animals. The three dogs were great and loved the attention.

Liked: easy access well sign posted. ideal location for shops and local village.

Disliked: only slight gripe is the ignorance of some people walking through the pitches instead of keeping to the walkways.

Liked: Lovely farm campsite. Very friendly owners and got to meet all the animals. Only issues were due to recent poor weather and the owners did all they could to make our stay the best possible. Would definitely recommend!

Local attractions

Decided to see a bit more of your rural surroundings? You can do so at a leisurely pace with a stroll around the waterfalls in Mortain (20 minutes’ drive), or at rather higher speed with an adventurous downhill ride at Normandie Luge (half an hour). If that’s got your taste for adrenaline going, there are more exciting antics to get stuck into (ziplines, treetop courses and bungee jumping) at AJ Hackett Normandie adventure park (35 minutes). Back down at ground level, slow the pace with a trip to the Musée régional de la poterie (10 minutes) or a wander around the ruins of Château de Domfront (25 minutes). If such things aren;t a hit with the kids, try The Enchanted Village amusement park (20 minutes) instead, or head over to Zoo de Champrépus (45 minutes). The big draw around these parts, however, has to be Mont Saint-Michel (an hour) – the towering abbey on an offshore island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of France’s most-visited attractions. In summer it stays open until midnight and makes a fine sunset trip.

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Extras

A charge of €1.00 (£0.86) applies for the use of the shower.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
