Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: The town, restaurants, cafe’s and big Super u within easy walking distance. Cycling along the canal was great. The owner was very helpful and kind to us.

Disliked: A bit cramped for us, very tight for larger MHs - we are just 7m had a larger pitch number 37 - however you need a long hook up lead and might be tricky getting water. Some of the pitches very close together.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: Owners, location, and Pitch. It is a beautiful spot, perfect for outdoor activities. The swimming pool is ace, 12 y/olds loved it. And the restaurant serves very good rustic food. A very short walk to a typical French Village. which has restaurants, bars, shops, and a Golden Arches a short drive away. Steeped in history, and so quaint. We were able to re-book on our epic journey around France, for our return leg. We were recognised immediately. A nice welcome to have, and the reassurance of a clean and tidy shower block after a 2,000 mile drive made it all the more welcoming.

Disliked: A bit of rain, a very long drive. Nothing negative about the campsite to say at all.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: Excellent site. Lovely and clean, swimming pool looks really good l, didn’t get chance to use it as we arrived late. Would definitely recommend it to other families. The village also looked idyllic and would have loved to explore further but this was just a one night stop over for us

Disliked: The electrical points are some distance from the pitches and our electric cable did not reach. Thankfully we have the leisure battery to use. If they had mentioned this on the description then we would have packed an extension lead

Local attractions

This is such a handsome part of la belle France, with the Burgundy Canal within easy walking distance and the Grosbois-en-Montagne Reservoir within a short drive. Golf, fishing, horse riding, climbing, lake swimming and watersports are in the area: stop off at the tourist office in Pouilly-en-Auxois for heaps of info on what to see and do. Within easy day trip distance at 25 kilometres is the small town of Saulieu and its 12th-century basilica, and the hills, mountains, woodland and waterfall of Morvan Regional Park, also 25 kilometres away. Closer to home, the hilltop village of Chateauneuf-en-Auxois within eight kilometres has a tiptop 15th-century fortress in the Château de Châteauneuf, surrounded by a medieval settlement. Visitors to this region also have the popular and spectacular city of Dijon to investigate, where sights to see include its main street Rue de la Liberte with the Palace of the Dukes and Estates of Burgundy; the Museum of Burgundian Life and the Jardin des Sciences, and many 18th-century townhouses and medieval half-timbered homes around its old streets.
