Seeking city visits? Country wanders? Whatever you've got planned, this six-hectare site in Finistère makes a handy base for varied Breton breaks. You may like to start with the splendid sea vistas around Camping du Goulet, as the coast at La Maison Blanche harbour is a mere 500 metres from this site (with the nearest beach a kilometre and a half away). Meanwhile, the best of Brest is an easy 15-minute drive away – in this smashing seaside city guests can get stuck into local maritime history, or head instead to nearby beaches for scuba trips and surf lessons. Or you might just like to stick around on site, where facilities include a sizeable heated outdoor pool with waterslides, a paddling pool and a balneotherapy area, plus a miniature golf course, a multisports pitch, a pétanque court, a snack bar and a bar. Kids’ club activities run on weekday mornings and evenings throughout the summer, but there's plenty for the nippers to do at other times too – perhaps spending time at the playground, leaping about on the bouncy castle or meeting the furry residents at the mini farm. Other handy amenities include a laundry room, a mini market (open through the summer with fresh bread and pastries in the morning) and wifi that stretches across the whole site. For a slap-up outdoor meal, set up a barbecue in the open air (having sourced supplies for your feast five minutes' drive away at a well-stocked local supermarket).

Disliked: Pitch 51 had loads of thorns which were dangerous for our dog and bad for our shoes and car tyres. No wifi at pitch

Liked: Great well serviced campsite. Friendly staff. Fresh baguette and croissants each morning. Lots of activities including a pool with slides.

Disliked: A bit remote from shops and facilities. The local beach was not ideal for sunbathing.

Local attractions

Brest (15 minutes' drive) is home to a world-class maritime museum, luscious botanical gardens and Océanopolis, a larger-than-life aquarium that's home to more than 1000 species. If you fancy observing some of these critters in the wild, head to the local scuba school (five minutes) for flipper-clad jaunts. The Breton coast is a hub for all kinds of sea life, and local seals have been known to put in an occasional appearance. Further salty sporting activities can be sorted at a nearby surf school (15 minutes). Landlubbers who prefer to stay within their depth might prefer an outing to the peaceful Petit-Minou beach and lighthouse (10 minutes). Staying with that nautical theme, boat trips across to the spectacular Crozon Peninsula (15 minutes) come highly recommended. Daredevils seeking high-adrenaline family outings should head for Bertheaume Iroise Adventure (20 minutes), a craggy offshore fort with zipwires that hurtle right over the ocean below. For smaller kids, try La Récré des 3 Curés (20 minutes), a tiddler-friendly theme park with traditional fairground rides.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 30 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
